Ok, I am sure someone has asked, but is there a way to switch out the "orange screen" for a colored monitor? I am guessing it would be an entire package or something. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

No you can't without loosing your a/c controls and everything else that shows up on the screen. Many have replaced a aftermarket screen in place of the orange oem screen and relocated the orange screen to a different location in the FX. Check out the visual/audio section of the forum for pics and ideas on the subject.

hi, don't know if it's still actual!But this can be done and a lot of people have done that in Russia! i went through their forum, the cost is about $1800 and $2500 with camera!
So you will replaced the orange screen with a OEM nav screen or with aftermarket screen? Cause I could see the replacing of the screen happened with a OEM nav screen and the rest of the component...
But I can't picture the same funtions of a orange screen on a aftermarket one.

hi, as long as OEM visual/audio controller presents, i believe any RGB supported device would work! so i guess you need to obtain that controller from salvage sellers and get a display with good resolution. and it should work. i'm planning to do that + i want to get a mircom m500 in order to have a NAV, Internet, DVD, any USB device.
