i have a question. I have an 05 FX35 with the plain orange info screen. I saw the whole Nav. unit on sale on ebay. Would buying that and installing that work on my truck or is there more to it than I'm thinking?

No, your orange screen means you do not have the navigation package with the color screen so even with the nav unit you will be unable to view anything on that screen. You will need a whole separate video screen in order to utilize the nav unit for what you want it to do.
 
thanks for the info. u saved me some time, $$$$, & frustration from hell. guess i'll have to find someone or place that can relocate my screen and maybe go with a a-pad in it's place. a poor man's version of what turbocad did. any advice?
