OEM Hitch Install Guide?

I'll be buying an OEM hitch soon for an 03 FX35 AWD so i'm trying to figure out what the install will be like. I've found a few threads that talk about installing the wiring harness but how about installing the hitch? Does the hitch come with directions? Is drilling required? Any info would be appreciated.
 
If you are buying the oem hitch and never had one previously than you will need to cut a sizeable piece of the the lower rear plastic bumper to accommodate the hitch. There is no drilling required. However, if you are buying this used than you have to make sure you get the COMPLETE wiring harness (there is a section under the spare tire compartment). Also, make sure you get the steel adapter plate that is located behind the rear passenger side wheel well. You will need that piece so the hitch can bolt on to it in that location. If you are buying this new than you won't have to worry about any of this.
 
thanks doc. i'll be buying it new so hopefully i'll have everything i need. i'm gonna hold off on the wiring harness since this is for a bike rack, for now.
