Anybody know of anyone who attempted the front chin on a 2012? Does kit even fit on a 2012, you would think it should, right? I can not find anything on it and the dealer doesnt know???

Thank you both. I have not had the pleasure of seeing one in person... so Fire, does it look even better up close, and is the fitment nice and tight.. I undertand it should being OEM but how is it really?

See the link for the thread, Rick posted pics on the car and there is no fitment issues, it fits perfectly

It looks even better in person. Trust me pictures don't make it look as good as it is in person. Fitment is 100% spot on since it's an OEM part. Everything lines up perfectly and it's easy enough to do it yourself.

Im gonna search and take a look at installation directions to get an idea but it looks like it goes over existing? What is it some screws and some tape and how long did it take you?

All the screws and templates you need are provided with the purchase of the front lip. Took me about a good 45 minutes to complete making sure I drilled the holes right and lined up the templates properly.

Some things you will need though to complete the job:

A center punch tool to start the holes before you drill
1/8" drill bit
1/4" drill bit
masking tape
alcohol
drill

Everything is pretty straight forward. DIY guide is here:

Best mod for the 2nd Gen's without a doubt. RipnFX & Spine Doc what are you waiting for ?

I know, I know. Really no debate, just deciding whether DIY or just have dealer do it. But its seems Fire0nic3FX makes it sound pretty easy so prob just do it myself. Also, does it lessen the ground clearance at all?

Its not too hard to do and would save you a good amount of money. It does lower your ground clearance a little bit but I'm sure exactly on how much. Nothing you should be worried about anyway.

Yeah it's pretty simple bro for the DIY type of guy. I mean if your worried about messing something up or your not too handy then let the dealer install it. But they charge $120 for the install (1 hour labor rate). Better off saving money and doing it yourself.

You do lose some ground clearance though. Everytime I pull into a parking space with one of those concrete barriers in front of the space I have to watch no otherwise it will scrape.

I'm def getting it the only issue with mine is they don't offer my color, so I'm going to have to get a random color and repaint it which sucks, gonna cost more to do all that.

spine doc, I'm sure you'll even install it better than the kid at the dealer since you'd be taking your time, etc.
