I have been a member for a while, this site has been SO helpful modding my 03 FX AWD. Just recently purchased an 07 FX RWD and am basically starting from scratch again :) Thanks to everyone on here for the ideas as well as the "How To's"!!

Thanks! Most people didnt really notice the "upgrade" and even had a co worker ask why I was rollin with the dealer tags suddenly. The dealer was great and swapped my painted OEM 20's at trade in. They pulled the brand new tires off of the 07 wheels as well as the tire pressure sensors that were not on my 03.

I had been looking for a new car for over a year and test drove just about everything out there. My husband had me leaning towards a G8 or an M45 but after driving both, I was not really impressed. Although fast and easily modified, the G8 still feels cheap and cheesy. The M still felt more like a family truckster to me.

Welcome back. Wow, that is one sweet dealer you got there. It's funny that someone at my work did a trade-in for a newer replacement on the Subaru Legacy. The exterior is identical except the color among the two cars and I made a comment to him one day, about how nice of a paint job he got and the body shop did an excellent job of taking every bit of trims/moldings off to paint. He looked at me funny and said it's new car. :laugh:

So long story short, he love his Legacy!
 
The dealer was great. Part of me wanted to keep the tires I had on the 03, they were Toyo Proxy's and were (I think) 285/50's and had a wider stance. The tread was decent but they were beginning to crack. Whenever I replace the tires on the 07 I will go pack to the Toyo's and something wider than stock.

Side note, that weekend someone slashed the tires of 30 plus cars on the lot, including my 03, so they had to replace the tires before auction anyway! It was an 03 with 90K on it and it brought $14,900 at auction and the tote the note that purchased it had it listed for $17,900.. this was in Feb. I love my new one and all the bells/whistles my 03 didnt have, but I was still sad when I saw the listing for it.

Thanks! I bought my 03 @ Grubbs in Bedford but picked up the 07 at Crest in Plano.
 
Oh cool! I kinda think I saw you on 75 near the high-5 a couple years back. Your plates on the beryllium look familiar.

I guess I officially qualify as "offensive" now! I've been called a lot of things but....:wink:

There are 2 FX's that I have seen more than once locally. A TOTALLY blacked out FX up around 635/MacArthur and a white one with deep dish gold wheels on it. I see that one quite often actually.
 
Sounds like you are more up north. I've seen a blacked out one near Downtown parked by some apartments, but not for a couple years. Definitely never seen that white one.
 
I have seen the white one all over the Irving area for the past 2 years or so maybe. The murdered out one I have seen a few times since Jan 2011. My husband who has just about the same commute as I has also seen it.

that's actually one of the reasons the rules have been set the way they are though, to make sure that none of the avi's are offensive... if we just let these guys put whatever they want you'd wind up seeing bouncing boobs & g strings all over the place:laugh:

I hear ya... I have been on a local mustang forum for 10 plus years. My "Hi I'm New" first post turned into an 850 post t and a disaster in no time. :eek:
