Not impresed with washer pump.

Hi, does anybody agree the washer pump seems a little underpowered,at least in my Fx. When I am driving at 60-70 km/h it won't even reach halfway up the windshield.

Mine works fine. At least I haven't found any reason to complain so far.

Great we'll get a high powered one so it can splatter all over the paint at 70MPH.

I personally like the way it sprays. One of my other cars sprays too much and too fast and it always gets all over the paint. Especially all over the roof and A pillars. I hate that. Then it leaves washer fluid spots all over the clearcoat.

I would like a heated tank and heated jets. The Infiniti dealership put to much water in the solution mixture causing mine to be frozen for the past two weeks. It has been below 30 every night.

Well I talked to my service advisor, and he said the spray nozzel is not adjustable, the apparnt solution is to be liberal with the washer solution. So I am to understand that due to a crappy design, the burden, and cost of filling the resovoir more often is mine..
I know this is a minimal complaint, but from a previous C-rv owner(the system provides a mist that covers the windshield, and is very efficent) that has not purchased a jug of washer fluid in years,it has me PO'ed That a car worth half the money has a much better design. Sorry about the rant, but I don't have 3k on the car and already put 4 liters in the resovoir.

No offense to you bro but I still don't understand what's the big deal? If you could afford to buy the FX what's the big deal about spending a few bucks on a jug of windshield washer fluid? My dealer always tops the fluid off for me for free, no big deal. I bought my FX back at the beginning of last year and only have filled it up once. You must use a ton of washer fluid.

And what does a car that costs half the price half to do with it? Every car company has something else that's better than the other company. Price doesn't mean anything. How come a 22K Camaro has a heads up display, and my $58K FX doesn't? Just saying ;)

Just to clarify, the reason I am using so much fluid is to make it work properly(as the service advisor recommended, and it still wont reach the top 2" of the right wiper), money is not the issue it is the principle, and I am not comparing features of the car, all car's come with windshield washer system's(it is a safety issue),our's just suck's. There must be something wrong with mine, since none of you seem to have an issue(or no one has had a good system to compare too).Hopefully some one else that has had an issue will speak up ,and let me know what they did to fix it.

No problem with mine. In the last year and a half, I have probably used a maximum of 3-4 jugs

Mine works fine also but I usally wash the whole car if I need to use the windsheild washers:smug:

Mine goes halfway up also but only on the highway. I think it's part of the design. As your speed increases, so it doesn't spray every car behind you, it aims the fluid lower.

Mine works fine too, but I noticed < 25 degrees, it starts to freeze up. Kind of pissed about that and going to talk to the dealer about it.
