I was checking out myg37.com and saw this. dunno who would be interested but though I'd put it out there. Might be a chance for som No Cal FXer's to get out. I know it is last minute, and there may not be enough time to plan but here it is.​

Freakmont is a BBQ event for the Nissan community that is held in the Nor Cal area.
Though it is open to most anyone it's primary focus is on the Nissan, Infiniti, and Datsun makes.
It has been on going since 2002 and started with a group of Altimas and Sentras.
In 2004, Team Driven took the initiative and began planning this event and
grew it to be one of the largest Nissan community event in Northern California.
It is and continues to be a simple BBQ where owners and
enthusiasts come together from all over to meet and eat.​

We have joined up with TPR Mag again this year and will be hosting at LeMans Karting of Fremont
on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 12pm. ​


We have been seeing an increase of immature, annoying, and irresponsible
behaviors that could be threatening to our event's continued success and existence. ​

A list of prohibited acts of stupidity should not be necessary;
just realize that there will be families with children and
simply many who like to relax, meet other people of the
community and checkout the rides, of which most
who don't appreciate the few who take the risk of
tainting the view of the entire car enthusiast community. ​

Please, be a positive rep of the Nissan Community,
the car hobby in general, and yourself,
by resisting the urges to make:
unnecessary noise
and/or perform examples of unsafe
and/or illegal activities. ​

Those people who choose not to control themselves
will be asked to leave the event and
will banned from future Team Driven events.​

Stupidity will not be tolerated.​




The event is free to everyone.
We do ask that if you are planning on coming out
to please pre-register so that everyone will know how many people to expect. ​

Also, this is a potluck BBQ event.
Which mean we need you to bring the food.
Please note when you register what you are bringing for food or snack to share.​



Timeline (tentative):
12pm - Freakmont Begins,
Grill(s) going with the food burning on them as people show up
Start showing up. ​

Karting Schedule:
12PM til 1PM - Practice Sessions from
1PM - Competition Drivers Meeting
2PM til 4PM - Karting Competition ​



Vendor Booths
This year we will be having tuner shops and parts vendors in attendance.
If you are a shop that does work on or sells parts for Nissans, Infinitis or Datsuns
and would to setup as table booth/area,
let us know.

Remember: It only takes One person to jeopardize this event
and other events like it in the future.​

*For those unaware of the 240 in a tree incident.*
Only one example of where this behavior can and will lead.​

We need everyone to help us prevent and stop those who are causing any trouble.​

Please register to help us out with final planning and such.
Event is free to come and hang out. Karting is extra for those that want. But no charge just to grub on some good food and chill with others in the Nissan/ Infiniti community.

If you will be there for sure, I'm diffenitely going to show. I just didn't want to be the only FX there. So it sounds like a plan to me.

Okay, let's do this. I'll register as soon as I think of something to bring....lol. Do you want to meet up at the BBQ or meet up then drive there?
 
even if you don't know what you are bringing. Please register. It'll help us out. And theres a benefit that I'll explain when I post the next mass posting across the forums in the next hour. ;)

**We are doing something a bit different this year. We got in touch with a few local and national contacts and will be having some various vendor and club presence. THANK YOU SCOTT. ;)
List of those coming
- Nissan of North America will be on hand with some official Nissan gear and a display car. (don't give your hopes up, its probably not what your thinking ;) )
- TPR magazine our main sponsor.
- Cox Motorsports will be bringing out a mobile dyno for those wanting to see what they are putting down. They have went to great lengths to come out and will be charging a reduced rate. Please contact Al directly to get the prices and sign up info regarding pulls. - info@coxperformance.com
- Z Car Garage will be present but won't have a booth there.
- Superior Nissan of Fremont will be around as well.
- NOS energy drink will be there with a DJ mixing up the tunes.
- Motoskin will be there.
- Understeer Academy/nor-cal240sx.com - will be Reppin' the local 240 crew.

****SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT****

We will be raffling off some donated items provided by those that were listed above. However the only way to participate in the drawings is to be registered. Pick up your tickets at the Team Driven table.

See, there is a benefit to register after all. XD

I don't know about you, but I'm pretty excited to see everyone again.


LAST thing... PLEASE... PLEASE help keep this event going and be responsible and control any urge to show off on the street or parking lot and remind others to control themselves.

BE SAFE as you all drive out.
 
supp, i saw your truck there.... although i didn't bring my fx... i showed up w/ my project car (infiniti g20 w/ det)

you didn't say wzup? my self and John were there hanging out. We won some mugs and keychains. A pretty cool event. Dave, and Team driven did a good job.
 
It was nice meeting you Darryl. We were the only 2 FXs there. I think Darryl took couple of pictures. The weather was great for an event. Lots of Zs out there. They definitely needed a larger BBQ grill though. It would be great if we can get more FX to participate.
