Noob with 2005 FX35

Hello All,

Just picked up my 2005 FX35 w/ technology pkg yesterday from the dealer. Has 49k miles and I love it so far. Upon pick up I had them replace all 4 rotors, pads, new tires and a rear bearing. Car feels like im driving on glass, awesome! However, my cruise control does not work so its going back to infiniti. Also, I filled up the tank when the meter said it was 1/4 full and it only took 10 gallons to get to full. WTF. Did some research, and I see there's a TSB for fuel senders and sensors and I let Infiniti know. Theyre going to "have a look" Only 7 months left on the warranty so Im a bit nervous. Otherwise I love this ride. Hope to learn alot on this site, Im located in Syracuse NY. Thanks

Hello and welcome to :iS: Do some researched on TSBs and warranty work, search bar up top, make sure to get them all done before your term ends.
 
yeah thats what i plan on doing loud drivers seat and lil bit loose. Are there any big ones that I should know about?
 
welcome fellow NY'er, you might look into the headlight/tail recall, dashboard bubble tsb, fender bolt noise, just to name a few. congrats and good luck with the your new toy. :smile (2):
 
i pretty much think those are all the problems or issues with the FX, no need to be nervous, there pretty reliable IMO
 
thanks all, ive typed up a list of things to hand to infiniti when i drop it off wednesday. I actually purchased the car through a neighboring acura dealer and will be receiving a acura lender. better not like it more than my infiniti lol
 
So driving to work today i noticed the front fender bolt noise in my passenger side. Probably because I was too tired to really turn up the stereo like i have been the recent days. Anyways I found all the TSBs for every single problem with the fx35 and typed up a list with all the TSBs attached behind it. Only one without a TSB is the cruise control malfunction and Im positive that will be taken care of.

Let me know if anyone would like a copy of these TSBs I have them saved as a pdf
 
Okay so i got new from the dealer tuesday, been out of town since then so i havent needed the fx. front fender bolt was actually noisy sway bar links, cruise control sensor is shot $2200 (thank god the dealer is paying for it), fuel gauge shows no issues besides being normally off(ill get used to it), tpms fixed, drivers seat belt replaced, seat fixed, airbag light reset,.

for the issues that remain i will take up with infiniti and try and get a work order straight from manufacturer while my powertrain warranty is still valid

just search TSBs and see what pertains to your FX. they are all different TSBs for different years even tho they appear to have similar problems
