Hi:
I have the 2003 FX35 RWD,now every time I pass the pot hole I hear some noise coming from the rear bottom. sounds like pennies rolling inside of a soda can.. the car still runs good.

I drove it to my guy and lift it up, knock on everywhere checked around but just couldn't find anything. not the stabilize bar or heat shell at all.

then my father drove it to his guy, he opened the brake, he told my father there is a piece of metal should attached to brake pad which is missing. so the pads are not exactly fit in, that's where the noise came from..

is that true??? any one knows about it ?? what's that part's name ??

parking brake adjustment ///359

Especially happens over speed bumps. Test it by pressing the parking brake down 1 click, drive over a speed bump... if the noise is gone....adjust your parking brake.

Sounds like a loose ebrake line again. Try this test. Depress the ebrake one or two clicks then go over a bump or whatever causes the noise. If the noise disappears then you need to adjust the tension on the ebrake line. If the noise still persists then it is something else.

LOL Jeff quicker on the draw!

Most fx's have been doing this since day one, I have had the noise since I bought my car in 2005.. had it adjusted at the dealer a couple times...but the noise returns. It doesn't bother me anymore so I just ignore it.

I tried today, I stepped on the ebrake half and driving it around.
the noise disappeared. I beleive that is the problem came from.

I will bring the car to fix it next week..

Thank you guys :)

This is lame... sounds like the wheels are broken... Infiniti should have a permanent solution for this (mine is doing it too and it's getting worse!

you are totally right... I went to the guy, he did the adjustment on the FX... I drove it out nice and quite,, but after 30 mies, the noise came back again..

I dont' think I will do anything to it any more.. roll up the window and louder bass :)
