No sound from Bose loudspeakers

Dear all,

big problem, the loudspeakers do not play any tone whether radio, iPhone or any other device. Everything elseis working, somehow the volume bar does not appear. I tried many services esspecially Infiniti itself, but no one had a glimpse rather then saying they need to inspect and that obviously would cost me a lot.

Can someone help? Did someone also was trapped in that error?

I have a similar problem, which is intermittent. I was told it was the Bose amplifier ( in the boot/trunk). I replaced that ( not easy to
get at, as various bits of trim in the way) with a used one I bought off eBay but that didn't solve the problem. What is strange is that if the weather is cold, it often works. That happened this morning but when I restarted the car, no sound was produced. The SatNav and AC work but I get no sound from radio, CD, iPhone , PDC and the All-round camera doesn't work. Could it be the head unit? ( expensive).
 
Thanks for that. I am a bit put off by the cost of replacing that! I might be able to source a used one but I suppose
that could also have a fault. How easy is it to do the swap and does the replacement need to be programmed on CONSULT ?
 
i got mine on ebay dam cheep dude just be sure that dose with navigation are different from the ones that don't have OEM navigation
wiring connectors are different
 
Thanks for that - I'll try to find a used one. I see that the Nissan 350Z has a very similar head unit - wondered if it was same part number?
Got nowhere with local Nissan dealers here in the UK, particularly those who are supposed to be Infiniti "specialists".
 
the head unit is shared on a lot off nissan and infiniti cars
