My car doesn’t have any getup and go. Then it dies.

2006 FX45
Just had the transmission replaced, and now it accelerates VERY VERY slowly, and if I drive it more than 2 miles, it will stop going over 5 miles an hour, and then eventually shut off. It won’t start back up until I jump it.

I’ve already tried a new battery. All that does it let me drive an extra 40 miles before it just dies.

Was this right after the transmission replacement? After it dies with the new battery, do you have to jump it? Put a volt meter to the battery and see what is the reading with the car running and then without the car running. If you have to jump it after it dies with the new battery, sounds like your alternator. With the car running, you should get 14 volt from the battery reading.
