Ok, looking at this again and noticing my used fluid...it is black!!! probably burnt. I wonder if this is what is causing the knocking in my M when the vehicle is in gear.

Just checked the used fluid again and it is not as black as it appears in the picture above. Doesn't have a burnt smell either, probably just never changed since it was new.

Not sure if this was just in my head, but driving the car around all day today after the fluid drain and fill felt way smoother.

Did another drain and fill:

Old Fluid: (After 39,000 miles)

After 1st drain and fill: (about 100 miles since 1st drain and fill)

I am going to extract some fluid from the fill spout after about 100 miles to compare after the 2nd drain and fill.

I just drained and filled, but I bought enough fluid to do the other method as well. In about 6000 miles I'll either do that or drain n fill again. What is everyone's opinion, which method should I do next?

Almost as fun as watching you do the Transgo mod for me. Super Duper Soonster has a nice ring to it.

Soon planing on doing the Transgo shift kit?

Drain and fill is not as fun as doing the Transgo. Don't forget the Transgo mod has the continual drip of "the waterfall of toxic strawberry death syrup" as stated by Tim. :wink (2):
