Nismo Exhaust on FX45 Idle & Load

You will need to extend in both areas

If you have the kikumie y pipe then will need the g35 extension piece and also still extend the tips. If you use the nismo y-pipe and you are an AWD FX then you will need to extend the y-pipe (RWD fx's will not need to do this but will need the extension piece) and don't need the extension piece but you still need to entend the tips.

so if you get a Kamumei y-pipe with the nismo does that mean you don't need the g35 extension still and extend the tips? i'm kinda confused

You need:
1) Kamumei y-pipe if you have AWD. If you have RWD, you can keep Nismo Y pipe.
2) You need g35 extension regardless of Kamumei or Nismo Y pipe
3) You need to extend the tips regardless as well.

Thanks for all the great info regarding the Nismo catback. I am seriously going to consider this option. Out of interest, are there any aftermarket catbacks made specifically for the FX or do they all have to be customized to fit?
