Does anyone know of or have any experience with Nexen tires? My FX came with Nexens, but part of the deal was that I would get different tires. Well my only option at this point are the RSAs, so now im contemplating whether to go with the RSAs (which i dont really like but is a probably a well built tire) or keep the Nexens which I have never heard of and dont know anything about safety/quality. Cant really find much info on the net either..

when i use to read maxima forums, a lot of people had them and rated them as "low price, but good tires"

how do you personally feel about them? Road noise, cornering, etc.

eh, they seem ok. as far as i can tell, road noise is low. compared to the Nittos I had before, ride seems softer. handling seems ok, doesnt really feel like I can really push it. wet weather traction is only ok. fwiw, im comparing a stock height FX to my lowered black fx, so its not really apples to apples. road noise at highway speeds is definitely alot lower than the Nittos though.

I could take back my Nittos, but they only have about half its life left, and they have gotten really loud.

can you get the dealer to give you whatever the promised RSAs were worth as cash? i doubt it, but thatd be pretty neat so then you can just grab some other tires

I have them and there is a little road noise over the rsa's but so far i like them. The ride is softer than the rsa, the seem to grip pretty well in wet and dry conditions and they handled well in the last teaser snow storm we got.

Thanks for the info guys. I was talking to my sales guy today and they are going to order me some paradas. These nexens seem ok, I just don't really know anything about them.

I did some research earlier. Nexens are a cheapo tire. Yoks are gonna be way better. The Hankook Ventus are the real sleepers. They are actually very good handlers.

i did some research on the nexans since mine came with them when i bought my fx last month. anyway, they're a korean tire company that's been around for quite a while. they have a good reputation, but just aren't well know like kumho or hankook. they are cheap tho, but so far, no complaints with mine.

I have the Toyo ST II's and they have been very surprising. With the 1in spacers, KYB's and Eibachs my FX handle extremely well. The Toyo's seem to wear well, despite being sticky.

Looking for thoughts on Nexen tires....should I stay or should I go? They are Original Equipment and a pain to replace. It took a week for my Tire Store to find a replacement for a road hazard flat. The FX is my daily driver with 80% freeway driving. What are some recommendations as I get close to replacing the existing tires?

forget about Nexen tires. They sucks! Got them on my Chrysler Voyager. Never again. ( Maybe US Nexen is better than EU but I would never get wear them on my FX).

there's not much out there about Nexen brand. Nexen and Atturo have been around for a while and i can tell people have tried them but can't tell the reliability of these tires. these brands save on taxes so they are cheaper. I myself was looking for cheaper alternatives but decided not to gamble with tires. get what's been proven to last. search around the forum.

lol nexen and lexani tires are the same thing.. cheap ass tires but are okay on cars, had them on some 20's they were okay surprisingly I used them in an all season environment and i made it through a few winters, that was then this is now, I don't cheap out on tires.

no direct experience here. but when i was shopping for my recent ventus (out of stock then) almost all shops recommended the nexen as a comparable and cheap alternative to the hankooks. this includes my trusted tire shop too.

I had NEXEN N3000 on my 05 Subaru Legacy and I loved them. They road nicely they handled well, and pretty much did everything that some of the more expensive tires that I've had did and somethings the NEXENs did better. Go for it.

holy hell I absolutely hate my Nexens. Came on the stock 20s when I bought it. They have about 15k on them and while dry grip is fine, wet is a nightmare and they are loud. Cheap for a reason.
