Hey all. I just picked up my white 2014 QX70 AWD a couple of months ago and came across this site while looking for customization ideas. I've done nothing yet, but want to start with murdering out the chrome grill, side vents, side rocker panels and emblems. The chrome door handles could be a challenge with the lock button, so maybe swap those out for black OEMs?
Keeping with the theme, I'd like to paint the side mirrors and roof cargo slats black, and I'll probably try painting or plastidipping the factory 22-inch rims to see if I like them, so I can save a few grand on new rims and tires. The tires are all brand new and the rims don't have any serious markings, so I'd like to salvage them.
Ordered the Weathertech floor mats, cargo mat and cargo kit. I've heard a few fitment complaints, but the factory mats aren't working for me, and we get a crapload of rain up here in the Northwest.
I guess that I'd most like to hear your stories... it's nice to have a place for reference to find out what works and what doesn't. When it comes to looking at light engine mods (cold air intake, exhaust, chips, etc), I'm hoping not to have much trial and error, which is expensive and frustrating.
Thanks!
