Just signed up to gain some info/perspective on a couple of FX issues. The FX in the family is my daughter's and it lives here in Chicago (where I am to help her thru the post-op of knee/ACL surgery). As the family CarGuy, I ride herd on the ten or so vehicles in our extended family.
I participate in a number of on-line fora related to cars (I'm a member of the BMW CCA with a '72 Bavaria that I bought new) and RVs (have a 40-foot Phaeton diesel pusher w/Freightliner chassis and a 7.2L Cat C7 turbodiesel). I've been a car guy from birth and the first car I spec'd out powertrain-wise was a '57 Plymouth Sport Suburban (with 301 PowerPac'd V8, four-barrel and duals), delivered at the factory in Detroit via a family friend in the company. My other life-interest is aviation, having gained Commercial/multiengine/instrument/flight instructor certification as a teen and spent my law career at FAA and USDOJ heading plane crash litigation defense. Now my wife and I are "actively retired," very busy but only with things we love.:good:
Two of our three kids have Infinitis (and the other would if he weren't trying to make a living in Hollywood); there's an '07 G35S in Nashville I get to drive and the FX here, and I probably have a good 8k miles logged between 'em. Great cars, great company (lots of Nissan execs live near our son in Nashville).
What brought me to join is a front wheel bearing issue about which I'll post seperately. Thanks for the good site!
