newb here - need info. for fx45 exhaust

can anyone recommend an exhaust system... so far ive been looking at , invidia, hks, and borla... i like borla out of the 3 but cant find it for my 2003 fx... any feedback is greatly appreciated

Invidia, HKS, Nismo, Stillen, are the main ones that people run. I do not know of anyone running a Borla exhaust. No reason not too if you like it, but no one here is running that set-up.

Invidia, Stillen, and Nismo are the main exhausts for either a 35/45. Stillen and Invidia being true dual exhaust lending for future modifications for performance on the engine. Stillen has been known to show surface rust back east. I have Stillen on my 35, HumbertoCali has one on his 45, and we show no surface rust issues here in Cali. TurboCad6 is in NY, and his Stillen exhaust looks horrible with all the surface rust.
 
If you want Borla, you will have to get one for a G35 or 350Z and extend some of the piping to make it fit.
 
you know, just to go on record here, yes my exhaust stillen looks like a rusty shade of brown but I was under there just last week & I gotta admit that overall the exhaust is still perfectly fine with no deterioration beyond the coloring itself. I even scratched/sanded a little piece of the pipe & it is still shiny under the suface coloring. it looks like, if I was so inclined, I would be able to polish the whole thing right up to a shiny polished look really. that'll never happen though, I only cleaned my exhaust tips once since I got it :tongue:

I know the stillen got a lot of badmouthing here because of the way it looks, but I've seen a local nismo that looks exactly like my stillen does too, guess it's all the salty winters...

I'll still say though for what they charge for this exhaust it could be higher quality SS, they get off with the 304ss answer, but there are many different grades of 304 too. I've seen even some factory exhausts that don't look nearly as bad cosmetically even after more years of use, & I'm sure there just 304ss too. all 304 stainless is not the same just because it's 304...

The only three brands that are made specifically for the FX are Invidia, HKS and Stillen. The others are adapted systems from the 350Z/G35.
 
Exhaust help!?!

i just joined and have so many question lmao...i just got a 05' FX35 and I am looking to replace the OEM exhaust system i have...there is a hole in the Y pipe =(
i am looking on line with NO luck...can u guys point me to a good company i saw aiya's post but are there any places i can acctually go to in the tri-state area to buy full exhaust systems?!?

Invidia's website is down...it wouldn't work on my comp...is there an other exhaust company for me to look into?
 
I heard nismo is up there too, to me it sounds the best as far as deepness and the drive by affect, all depends on how much bread u tryin spend 2 u heard!
