Newb from Portland, OR

My 2004 FX35 AWD started off as my wife's car, but now she has a Mini Cooper S so the FX35 is now mine.

I had been trying to sell it for the past 6 months here locally on craigslist, but for some reason the FX doesn't seem to be very popular here. We only have one Infiniti dealer in town so maybe there's just not a lot of demand. My asking price was between KBB and Edmunds so it's not like I was being unreasonable.

Anyway, after dealing with the usual craigslist hassles (low ball offers, flakes, spam, nigerian scammers, etc.), I've decided to just drive this until it falls apart, hopefully a long time from now. It has about 53k miles so it should have plenty of life left. Also, no more dealer servicing, I'm going to do all the minor maintenance stuff myself now (oil, fluids, filters, brakes, tire rotations, etc.) since I won't need to provide prospective buyers with proof of maintenance/service history.

Anyway, it's a 2004 FX35 AWD, Diamond Graphite exterior, Black Leather interior, with Sport Package and Touring Package (no Tech Package). I just ordered the USA Spec iPod adapter so that will officially be the first mod. I just learned about this product here on this website last week so I decided I should join.

NWFX! You won't regret keeping the FX, its a great ride and it will last and last....modifying is not an inexpensive hobby (some of it is relatively cheap) but its rewarding and you have the opportunity to hang out online with iS members, a win/win! :tup:
 
dont sell I think I have seen your fx online! keep it you wont regret plus when it snows you can still be cool passing all other stuck in the snow.
 
Welcome to IS. You could do a lot worse for a long term DD. I seem so see a decent number of FXs around here, but never any with obvious mods. Where in Portland are you?

Welcome ! For some reason Idaho,Washington,Oregon not that into Infinitis. Probably as they assume Infiniti is expensive to maintaint.

I had X5 2002,noone wanted to buy it,as people have assumption used luxury car = big expenses
 
Welcome. 04 with only 53K miles? PLENTY of life in her. There are plenty of DIY on here. Enjoy!
 
I know this thread is hecka old, but I bought a 05 FX Touring last Friday and first thing first, signed up for infinitiscene and searched for Portland since this is where Im from (Vancouver actually)! Awesome to know that there are some IS members in the area!
