Hey all.

I don't currently own an Infiniti of any type....but I'm considering purchasing one come spring time. For the moment, the EX35 is topping my list...but the G37 keeps drawing my attention, as do the FX35's.

Anyway....what I do currently own is a 04 350Z....which is slowly evolving into a track toy. As you might think, that evolution is making it less comfortable to drive every day (though a blast on a twisty road or on track)...such as stiffer dampers, lowering springs, changed out the final drive gears....and coming soon is a roll bar and racing seats.

I'd post a picture....but I don't believe I'm able to as yet.

Welcome to iS! 10 posts and you can post pictures.

Wow....those are old shots. lol. My poor girl isn't nearly that shiny anymore. She needs a respray in a couple places. Sometimes I still can't believe she has 116,000 miles on the clock.

Thanks for the help out!

Now that I can post images...I thought I'd throw up a couple more recent shots on my Z...

This is the most recent beauty shot I've taken. This was last year. I've since added a set of Z Track Brembos and Koni Yellow Dampers. These items are in use in the photo below from Roebling Road.

welcome to IS

how do you like the 3.5 final drive? compared to the 3.3

Thanks. And the 3.5 is great. It didn't do anything great for my MPGs....but the car accelerates much faster than it did previously. When I first did it, it was very noticeable, but I got used to it pretty quickly. It also changed my shift points...but that was also pretty easy to get used to. I did it just before ZDayZ this year and after a couple runs up around the Dragon, it was all good.

Too good for some it seems.

Yes....there is definitely a risk when you drive the road hard. When you're up there you have to keep within your own limits...because often times the limits of the car are significantly higher than those of the driver.....and you can get yourself in trouble very quickly. Not much room for error...between the rock wall on one side, the cliff on the other side, and nice drop offs on the edge of the road. Add to that motorcycles flying around all over the place along with other cars and it tests pretty much all of your abilities.

When my friends and I run it, we do it fairly early in the morning before most are even awake. Makes for a cleaner run.

thanks for the info

is it need to post 10 numbers

If you drive the EX and the FX, I gotta believe you'll go with the FX. G37 is a totally different beast. You have the 350 for track and sport - IMO you should get some utility out of your new daily driver.
