New Wheel? Suggestion Needed

Hi Guys,

I am thinking of getting a new set of wheels for my summer tires. I need some suggestions.

Option #1





Option #2




Wheel Diameter: 22"
Wheel Width: 9 or 9.5"
Tire Profile: 40 or 45
Tire Width: 285
Offset: 35 or 30


I know summer is still quite some time away. But I would like to start looking to my wheels for the summer.

I have two different color of wheels undecided. Difference is Option #1 has a machined wheel face and option #2 has the black wheel face. Rest of them are the same.

My concerns is fender well rubbing with the tire and the offset. I would like to have the wheel flush with the fender but not too aggressive and also have some room for future BBK upgrade. I used the calculator and seems like that the wheel will be extended 1" compared to the OEM 20's. I don't know if that will look good or will I have to go with 30 offset? Also, thinking of mounting 285 tire to have a bit bulge tire sidewall to protect the rims.

Any suggestions or feedback are absolutely welcome and appreciated. :.smile:

I don't know about the width, profile, or offset, but I think with the chrome lip and center cap, option #1 looks much better.

22 x 9.5 +35, 285/40R22 (approx 1 inch...25 mm...wider than stock is what you want to bring it flush).

Shouldn't. That is similar to mine (22x9, +38, 285/40R22) and I could use another 8 mm to make it flush. I am lowered with H&Rs by 1.2 inches...no rub. If you go +30, you'll likely stick out by a little bit.

I will find out from Lexani. I don't know if the TPMS will fit on it. Anyone knows any programmable TPMS available to work with the stock computer?

Both. Mine is AWD, I am trying to keep it all the same width.

That is what I have on my mind as well. My FX is pearl white. I think with black will give some good contrasts.

ya i dont need the extra set of 22's so thats why there up for sale, i'll have them mounted in march , there is still snow and salt on the ground and the fx is currently in storage, but when its out i'll post pics of my new system and wheel set-up
