New User and Old Problem

Hi there guys..

I am a new member on the forum and i come from Vienna (Austria). 3 days ago i got my FX 3.0 S Premium Diesel. I bought the FX because i like how it looks like.. Beside FX i own BMW Hamann 535d.

First impression about FX.. It looks damn good :) FX Diesel has a Renault engine and it doesnt sound like an tracktor.. At least not for now.. :) It has 240 bhp and 500 Nm.. So a pretty nice ride for city conditions..

Now for the problem..

Believe it or not, my car has 147 km! When i got it it had 7 km :) Yeaaahhhhh.. after 140km the tyre pressure light turned on.. In BMW i have an option to reset the tyre pressure, but i can not find this thingie in Infiniti menu :( What can be the problem.. Tyres are looking fine and i am pretty sure that i have no flat!!

Is this a common problem with Infiniti??

Welcome to iS! and congrats on the FX. If you are sure there are no flats then it may be that one of the sensors have gone bad. I am not familiar with the European model Fx's so can't help you out with the menu options, but on the US version there is no option for resetting of the tire pressure as it resets automatically after driving for a minute or so. The only thing you can check is the pressure itself.

I am pretty sure that the problem is in one of the sensors.. There is however one option in the menu where i can read the pressure in tyres.. Guess what.. I see only ** instead of real numbers..

Will drive it today to Infiniti service and see if they can do something about it..

Anyway, Infiniti started in Austria on 01.10.2010 .. I got my car on 01.11.2010 :) Believe it or not, people here are looking in Infiniti like u are driving a space shuttle.. U can not see it on the street.. Thats why its even more interessting.. :)

For the first 100 customers in Austria, they have prepared some presents.. For example i got a holliday with my wife and so on.. :) Pretty cool..

As for the photos, i will post them in few days.. First i want to remove all the markings from the car.. :) Infiniti, 3.0dS and the other things that are picked on the car are going to be removed.. after 1000 km i will also drive it to Hamann for tunning.. they told me they can tune it up to: 300 - 310 PS and 630 Nm torque..

PLEASE dont aske me why i bought Diesel if i wanted more power.. :) U should try my Beamer and then comment on diesel ;) So i guess i will have the first Hamann tuned Infiniti FX in the world :)

I am pretty sure one of your TPMS is bad. hopefully they can figure out which one using there special tool.
