Got these off craigslist for cheap. Needs two new tires, and i'm debating getting a whole new set. they are 22x9, not sure the offset ( i should have looked at the back of the wheel) i'll check later. But they fit fine. What size tire you guys recommend if i get a new set. the current tires are 265/35/22. I was thinking 305/40/22 to be like GTO, but with a tad taller sidewall. U guys think i'll face any issues with the 40 series tire? thanks in advance.

Absolutely dont get 305s. Big bulge, especially on the insides. 285 should be the max (that's what I'm currently wearing).
265 will look tucked without any spacers. Looks frickin awesome w/ your color, & it's a great wheel. Drop it, get some Hankooks (285/35), & you're good to go.
You got a killer deal. Enjoy!

GTO, what was your experience with the 305's? was there a fit problem, or was it because you were lowered? (I'm "trying" to stay away from lowered). I'm sure others and myself would like to know about your "old" setup.

It actually rode fine, contrary to my thinking. They were already fitted on the rims when I bought them. Tire wear was also OK, yet a bit more on the centers. The problem was more on the big bulge. I hated it. It was way too large, especially on the inside. It looked like it was ready to pop off the rim. 285 is the way to go w/ your offset . . if you dont mind a little wheel protection. The 285s also handle better.
drop kit is a necessity & improves the ride, so dont discount it.

wheels look nice, but it needs a drop

ouch.. that cayenne looks like poo. I guess l my FX looks like poo. there is a cayenne at my office with 24's and the gap is terrible, I bet he is saying the same about my FX. Ugh, had bad experiences with lowering my previous cars. They all had negative camber, and uneven tire wear. I hated it. I'd really like to stick with the stock springs. I was looking at Mazzzur's setup. He has the same style wheels just 22x10.5's all around. He is running what i'm guessing is the 305/40/22's and stock suspension, and it looks nice. U guys think the 305/40/22's will rub, or have fit issues? looking at GTO's old pics, i dont mind the bulge. But GTO went down in width on his newer set of tires. ugh. I'm meeting with my buddy on thursday to discuss tires, and i'm not sure what to tell him to order.

grrr.. Lowered looks so clean(Robb), but i told myself i wouldn't lower this car..

Its your ride no what any of us say's in the end you have to be happy with it. Mazzur definitely needed to be lower but he could not as his offset to wheel width was so aggressive his wheels/tires were sticking outside the wheel well.

 I appreciate all the help guys. i'm leaning toward a 40 series tire, and stock height. I wish someone could chime in on the fit of the 40 series on stock springs. It's killing me that the 305/40/22's are way cheaper than the 285/40/22's. I'm gonna sleep, and pop on tomorrow to see if any one else posted. thanks again for the help.

It looks fine w/ 285s. It aint no widebody setup, & it's not gonna be perfect, but these are things you research before you get rims . . unless you steal them like you did  If you like the bulge, just go for the 305, but the fit just isnt right

Hey guyz, can I come in?
