2011 FX35 RWD
I recently sold my EX35 and bought a 2009 FX50S. What a difference! This is my 5th Infinity since 2003 starting with 2X 2003 G35 coupes, 2004 FX35, then the 2008 EX35 last May to the 2009 FX50S last month. I did like the EX but rear seat room was non existant as posted on the EX forum many times.

looks like you're not going anywhere regardless of what model you decide to buy....congrats, i am sure 50S is a blast to drive.

yeah, figured you would know how to spell infiniti by now. lol! :tongue (2): jk
Welcome!

Best of luck

I'm new to the scene as well, do you plan on doing any mods.
rev

No, I dont plan on any mods. This vehicle has too much stuff to mess with. I learned some time ago to leave what the engineers did alone. If it aint broke, dont fix it.

Most cars I have had issues with (not all, some were just cursed) have been due to my own "improvements".......

If it aint broke, fix it anyways.:smug:

Haha - if it ain't broke, it didn't have enough power to begin with!

I am one of those engineers and I can't leave well enough alone. Design decisions are not always made for good reason - sometimes they are made to make production easier or less expensive. And never forget that any of the parts that were subcontracted out to other companies were awarded contracts because they were the lowest bidder...

<- Kind of a weird "cheers" smiley but you get the point. :smile (2):

I think the bottom line is "design intent". Even though designs are *mostly* controlled by engineers, they are also subject to a great many constraining forces beyond what the average person imagines. In my experience cost and time are the most influential limiting factors in any design. Even F1 designers have budgets and deadlines to which they must adhere or be fired. The need to stay employed causes engineers to do whatever is necessary to finish on time and under budget, even if that means abandoning creativity in favor of proven methods.

Q. What do you call the guy who finishes dead last among his engineering class?

A. An engineer.
