New to site but not FX35.

I'm Scott from Oklahoma. I've had an 05 FX35, white, Sport-Tour-Nav, factory 20's etc for about 4yrs. I just got my FX out of the body shop after my wife rear ended someone and noticed that the new drivers side headlamp assembly doesn't match the left. Is my FX special??? The headlights, tail lamps and grill all look like they are "smoked chrome" but the new headlight looks like "bright chrome". Are there different versions and part numbers?



Any help would be appreciated.

Oh yes their is a difference, most likely you had sport headlights and they installed non sport headlights.. All smoked sport headlights are the same fitment i think 05 had smoked not sure but 06-08 definitely had smoked
 
also 03-04 sport (package) fx's did not come with smoked headlights, im not sure about 05's if they did come
 
2005 was the first year of the tinted heads, tails, and grille. Looks like they ordered you the wrong headlight.
 
Welcome to iS! Also the sport tails had varying degrees of darker chrome. Hopefully your replacement sport headlights will match each other as well.

Ok Scott, so your are looking for the driver side headlight (LEFT side). The part# for the Sport Headlight is B6075-CL01A.
The driver side is always the LEFT side and the passenger is the RIGHT side. Just be clear!
 
There is a recall notice on the headlights. It's possible a dealership will replace your old light with one that matches the new one for free. Have the VIN checked at any dealership and they can tell you if the recall has been performed on your car. I recently had this done after buying a used FX. The previous owner never took it to a dealership and 5 recall notices were outstanding, all of which were free at the dealer.
