Hi Guys:

It's nice to join such an organized forum specially for FX. I have just started browsing this forum and most of the posts are very helpful and informative.

Thanks everyone's effort to create a such nice environment for FX owners. I am really glad to meet everyone here.

Cheers, :2smile:

Thx guys. I am glad to be part of this community.

Dr.2k - Just found your video on youtube. It's cool, I like it a lot :)

Welcome to IS We have a pad up there in Van.BC/Yale Town... LOVE IT! It'd be cool if I could attend a Vancouver meet one of these days... but for now, my FX is stayin' down here in SoCal

Thx trainerKen. I would love the opportunity as well. I like your mod to your FX . So tempting ... Now I have to find a job to slowly start working on my FX.

Anyone knows any cold air intake for the FX? I can only found Weapon R and Fujita but my friend told me the build qualities of those brands are not as good. I heard cold air intake is better than those in engine bay intake. Any suggestions?

There are no real cold air intakes kits for the fx45 only short ram intakes like the weapon-R and LMS. Also, Fujita only has an intake for the 35 and not a 45. There are no no real options here unless you can get one custom fabricated for you.

Thx for the info and warm welcome.

My friend just went back to Taiwan and he's going to look for a custom made intake kit for me. His buddy used to work in a tune up shop and they did install a custom made intake for couple fx35 for their customer. I am waiting for his news  Hopefully it will work out fine.

welcome white_hair. few of us including myself have the short ram fujita intake and happy with the quality. just be sure to request a bigger "connecting hose" if you do since i had difficulty with mine. i contacted fujita directly and they sent me one that fitted well.

Thx Mtbfx for the welcome and the info. I just wonder is there any noticeable difference between cold air intake and short ram intake? I was googling and people said in general that cold air intake will be better than the short ram intake. I can't justify the correctness of that info, since I'm newb to car tuning and modding. :4tongue:

i'm pretty sure people have tried a "cold air intake" style intake and found it to be worse than the short ram intakes. there arent any cold are intakes for the fx, like there are for G's/Z's. apparently it hurt power, according to LMS when they were testing for an intake.

Any of those short ram intake come with an air box? Since I live in Vancouver, the weather here is rainy for like 6 month of the year. I would have to worry about sucking in water if I go with the cold air intake.

What do you guys recommend? Any advices are greatly appreciated.

i believe there is no worry about sucking in water with or without a box with at least one of these products i read. however, some intakes do come with a shroud (stillen) or a shield (JWT) that might solve your problem.
