Hi, I am newbie... I am about to buy an FX35 but cannot decide if I should shell out the extra cash for navi or not. If it is relatively easy to install an after market one or if i can find a factory navi unit and install it my self...
Any suggestions???

Thanks alot.

I have seen MANY who wished they had held out for the factory nav or wished they did have it. if your talking a used car then the difference in price is wel worth the smal difference, on a new one the $$$ difference is quite a bit more, depends how good you are at customizing & what it is you are & aren't willing to accept, but overall I'd recommend getting the nav for sure at least on an 03-05, cause the non nav's don't even have a color screen & are much harder to retrofit an aftermarket than the 06+'s which even without nav do have a color screen at least that is a bit easier to add an aftermarket solution afterwards...

If you have any any thoughts on a navi get a FX with the factory nav. You can add a aftermarket if you don't like it later but it will be near impossible to add the oem nav later on.

Definitely recommend picking up the factory NAV. That was my only regret was not getting the factory NAV and perhaps the AWD... though that is a wash since I live in TX. I would also recommend getting the "sport" package if at all possible.

You'll regret it if you do not get nav. Save yourself the trouble, time, headaches, etc and get the nav! Wish I waited.

honda/acura nav is made by alpine... supposed to be the best oem out there, from what I've read a few years ago anyway...
