New to FX...with an issue

Just got my first FX45, love it so far....I did some searching and didn't get a good answer, but my problems is the cruise, when I hit the on button, I hear a beep and 2 cruise lights come on, one is green, one is orange. while driving, it won't let me set the cruise, the ICC button (next to the on/off) also doesn't do anything when I press it. VDC is on, wipers off, tried holding the button for 3+ sec, nothing. I just get that single beep and both cruise lights on but no response from the car. I read through all the CC threads on here and they seem to have different issues/fixes but none apply to my issue. Hope someone has had a similar problem and can help. Thanks!
 
Not sure if the ICC is the same as mine, but mine has displays that light up in the instrument cluster. following distance etc. There is also supposed to be a way to turn on the normal cruise control by holding down the on button for several seconds.
Only guess in the dark I have is there may be an issue with the sensor module, and it wont let you activate the ICC.
 
Check the sensor in your bumper. If it's blocked, your cruise won't work. Once I was on the highway and all of a sudden cruise stopped working. Exact symptoms you're describing. As it turns out, a plastic bag flew into the sensor and blocked it.

That is correct.

There are around 23 possible causes (23 trouble codes) associated with ICC system faults - see the pictures, the best thing to do have your car scanned and see what trouble code you get out of these 23 so you will know what exactly is the problem and how to fix it, this will save you a hell of time and possibly money, because some of them is just a matter of cleaning the laser sensor such as DTC 102.

Have the at scanned and let me know what code you get and I will help you out.

Well, there are no codes and I've noticed when I first start it up and hit the cruise it turns on for about 30 seconds, then beeps and turns off. the front sensor seems to be clean
