My first car was a 08 Corolla, drove it to 200k and still going strong , my second car was my 2005 fx 35 with 150k miles , I love this car from the look to the power (my first v6) when I bought it I knew it had issues so I spend around 2k fixing a lot of it , I was in love with the car , I drove it 500 miles and the tranny went out , now I had to go back to my Corolla but I’m determined to fix it by my own hands so I can drive it and enjoy it like I should’ve from the start. The codes I’m getting are 1757,1759,1815,0615,U1000. 2 shops told me I needed a new tranny and quoted me 4k dollars . I refused and have decided to fix it my own but I’ve never done this before so I’ll be learning as I’ll go , but I am determined to accomplish this . I really think it’s an electrical issue and since this car is on its 4th battery I’ve bought since I purchase it . The one it came with originally, I bought 2 used ones before I decided on the brand new one after the transmission had “gone out”, the key has also seem to start failing and I’ve replaced the battery on it already as well . About me I am 21 turning 22 this year , work in medical industry , all mechanical things I’ve taught myself through fixes on my Corolla and being a poor college student . I am looking to hearing from you guys and achieving my goal of driving my fx
