Hey forum, new to this. I've had my 09 fx50s for a few years now, absolutely love it. Blew thru one set of 295 Pirellis, bought new cross drilled rotors... now I've got a tall stack of brand new 295 conti summer rubber sitting in my garage. The stock paint is chipping off one rim so I'm going to paint them all before mounting up the new tires. Thinking of getting some H&R spacers too; 15/25 for front/back spacers, in special order black. Paint color for the rims, I have no idea yet. My FX is gray metallic. Any suggestions or guidance from some fellow FX drivers?

Already been getting some great ideas from your posts

Wow GEE50FX, your FX looks great! I was thinking shiny black, then gunmetal, then a bronze gunmetal... hyperblack just made the top of my list. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for all the input!

Well I talked to my painter and the paint equivalent of hyperblack will be >$500 for just the two cans... I don't want to spring for that much juuuust yet, so I'm looking back to the normal paint options (Matrix brand). I'm kinda liking a dark bronze color - what do you guys think? Would it look off with the gray metallic paint and silver trim?

Sorta like a Volk/Rays anodized rim finish. I read this forum and some Subi guys narrowed the color code down to Fiat 750 Marron Volciano. Like on the first photo on this page:

Btw I was considering a WRX wagon after selling my previous ride (C6 vette... sigh) and I'm SO happy I found the FX. The combination of power, AWD, style, tech, utility, and the sleeper status of the 50S still impresses me. Of course with the exhaust it's a bit less of a sleeper.
