New Tires, TPMS?

I am planning to purchase new tires next week, and I was wondering, if it is possible that the TPMS already in the wheels now can be reuse with the new set of tires? Another words.. Will the TPMS survive the changing of the tire without damaging? Or does that depend on the craftsmanship of the person that will be taking the old tires off the rim?

This is my first vehicle equipped with TPMS, so I have no idea what to expect..

Thanks in advance

Sensors can be reused, but they're easily damaged and are expensive to replace. They are part of the valve stem that sits inside the rim so make sure you tell the shop that is dismounting / mounting your tires that you have TPMS sensors in your rims so they are careful when removing the tire from the rim . . also so they can be held accountable if they damage them. They may need reseting at the dealer if you dont match them correctly to the right corners.

Resetting....

So if the wheel stays at the current location (i.e. right front, left front...etc.) Then no resetting is necessary?? Or regardless, they have to be resetted?

They should read OK if used in same position. Not a big deal to reset though if they need a sync. But that will require the Nissan consult, I think

visit a nissan dealer, ~30 at most and 10mins with the same consult II unit.
the orientation of TMPS should be (from factory):
1 - driver front
2 - pass front
3 - pass rear
4 - driver rear

The tire install shop may also try to sell you a "kit" for the TPMS. I've machine removed and installed tires on rims but never any with TPMS. So I'm extrapolating that in order to prevent damaging the sensors during remounting or removal of the tires, the installer removes the sensor before removing the tire.

From there, the "kit" (I assume) is to reinstall the sensor. That's the best I can figure. Just be prepared for the "kit." Lol
