I just finished my wheel setup & winded up getting an 11" rim out back to pretty much tuck. this is a 315/30-22 but a similar sized 20 will fit too. rim specs are 11" wide & +48 offset.. could have went slightly in or out from here, I'd say anything from a +50 which would be slightly tucked more, all the way to a +40 which would be out about 8mm from where it is now would work... the tire is about 11" wide... much wider would be difficult, a 335 for example would be pushing it but probably doable as the most extreme size able to fit, might require a bit of trimming the wheelwell to accomidate that, but the 315 can be fit with no trimming at all...
if your awd as I am, then a matching front will be the biggest determining factor as to what rear tire can & can't work.... as long as you can find a matching diameter front then you can go this wide out back... I winded up going 9.5" front & 265/35-22 in the front... NO awd issues at all, the key though is to match the diameters front to rear, the computer does not see width differences, but it does see rotational differences... as long as they both rotate at the same rate through same diameters staggered is fine with awd...
