New Rims and Tires

but I have to admit too... I can't tell you have many times I've hit a pot hole or something harse on the road... and I thought to myself "... damn, if I had 22's, I'd be cussing like a sailor right now..."

yeah, I'm afraid of bending them up, I would want a good strong forged 22" wheel for nyc, that's one good thing about the 20's I got on now, they can take it well, but a good strong 22" would probably be ok, maybe a bit more harsh, but damn does it look good... maybe someday :)

you can do a lug conversion but it really depends on what you want to switch to. Remember lug conversions add a good amount of space to your wheel like a spacer so this also does limit your selection of wheels due to the offset. Also it adds a lot of extra weight and more lugs that will need tightening and torquing. 5 to 6 lug conversion will give you 11 lug nuts per wheel.

Another option is to get the wheels redrilled...this also depends on the bolt spacing due to the amount of material around each opening.

I have talked to Fred at http://www.wheeladapter.com/default.asp before and I was trying to get a certain wheel redrilled, he talked me out of it due to the bolt pattern. He is an older man maybe 60+ but he knows his stuff. I think his shop is maybe an hour or so from your area but you can call him and he is very friendly and willing to give you his opinion..

yeah, it's probably a bad idea... The reason why I asked is because there's a guy on Craig's List (locally), he's got a set of new Titans 22's, and he's been trying to unload them for a long time, he's down to around $650... but they are 6 lug... I was thinking if I make him an offer and somehow figure out a way to make'em fit my FX, but it's just too much effort and in the end... probably NOT a good fit...

Nice having two sets of wheels...you can always change them out according to your mood :) Are the spacers you took off for sale? What size are they anyway? I'm seriously looking at sticking the stock wheel out a bit on my 05.

just installed the rims today...

I don't have pics yet but will work on some this weekend after I wash the car. Taking the spacers off and longer hub bolts wasn't fun at all.

Zenneti ellipse w/tires = 62lbs
Axis orden w/tires = 72-75lbs.

They are heavy...but they are also 22x9's compared to my older 20x8.5's also the tires on them are 285/35/22. The toyos on them are a bit noisier than my continentals but are not that bad.
