Hi!

So it's been cold and crappy as far as Canadian winters go - but with 4 new winter tires and heated seats I should be good .. Right?

Not so much - please have a listen to the below link .. I have a rattle type noise which is much louder on the passenger side of the house and I'm curious if anyone has experienced the same and might help me identify which part is failing (no other noticeable changes to speak of - if heater is on or off still no difference)

Please help

Definitely sounds like a bearing failing in one of your accessories (alternator, AC Compressor, idler pullyes etc) Take belt off to isolate which one it is. Spinning each one by hand should tell the tale (grinding, not smooth spinning)

It was an idler pully - the smooth one (which surprised me as its the one farthest towards the drivers side but the noise for sure sounded like passenger side)

Took less than 5 min to rip off the belt and spin them all (got a great how-to off youtube)

Took it off and smashed it with wd40 which made it much better while I wait for my order from rockauto to arrive

Thanks for the advice
