Well my problem is that when I'm driving and I go over a small crack or lil bump it feels like my front passenger side wheel is loose.
One day i was home and decided to grab and shake the wheel in and out ( the car was parked in my drive way) and heard a clunk clunk clunk noise when i moved it (had a lil bit of play). So i went on to do it on the driver side front wheel and nothing happened. Everything was nice and tight
Having said that, I took it to go get check and they thought it would be the tie rod or something around there and first they said it was the assembly hub. Found out that wasn't it.
So now they said it's the strut and strut mount
I've been able to find the strut. My question is about the strut mount ?
Were could I find it besides dealership because guy at autozone said that for that year fx (03) they r special and this and that
Any suggestions wr I could find them?
Btw I have 123k on my truck so I'm sure I have to change the strut mount as well

I think that a clunking sound can also possibly be a bad ball joint. You should take a look at it before you go buying parts you might not really need. People at shops for the most part just try to get you to buy things even if you dont need it so its always good to know what your dealing with before you go to them. Not saying that it isnt a bad strut or strut mount but you should get under there and look.

I doubt its the strut mount. Is more like strut bearing. Infiniti strut mount has no moving parts to it. The strut bearing seat under/inside the strut mount. You can buy the strut bearing by itself. Item #9 is the strut bearing. Dealer item only.

Yes, you can always just replacing the bearing. If you're 123k and still riding on the original set of struts, you definitely want to replace them. A general consensus on this forum was that the oem struts and shocks need to be replace around 60K.
