I went to a used car dealer to buy this G35 coupe. I had been searching all over my city for a dealer that one with the features I wanted (keyless entry, xenon lights, other fancy stuff), so I am very very interested in buying the car. After an OK test drive, I noticed some problems.

A. Windshield wipers didn't move, but they would spray fluid/cleaner.
B. A/C was fluctuating between cool and warm
C. When I turned the A/C on the car began to overheat.... Really really badly.

So I returned to the dealer and these are the solutions they gave me

A. Windshield wipers has a blown fuse, will replace the fuse.
B.System may need recharging
C. The car had been 'winterized' and needed the thermostat replaced.

I am going to comeback tomorrow to re-test drive, but I'm really worried about the overheating issue.
Again, I could not find this car ANYWHERE in my area, so I'm very interested in buying it. When I test drive it again, should I be looking for working fans? Or what troubleshooting should I do? Or should I just forget about the car?

First Post!!!

Welcome to :iS2:

I have seen overheating due to the front of the radiator all block by road debris and leaves.

I would have your own mechanic check it over before your purchase. I have owned 2 G35 cars and enjoyed them.

Definitely have an independent mechanic inspect the car.

Windshield wipers is no big deal.
AC system could just need a recharge. But why does it need the recharge? Systems are closed so if refrigerant is low it escaped somehow. Maybe it's a cheap fix, maybe you have to replace multiple parts which can run into the thousands.
Overheating is a huge, huge red flag. Thermostats are cheap, but for them to just gloss over everything and say thermostat is troubling. It could be something else.

Yeah what shadow191 said, I would continue my search elsewhere. That could have been a car that someone just beat on.
