A new guy here looking for advise on tuning a '04 45! Anyone with parts, shop, or performance tips, I'm willing to listen. I've been stock far too long, and would like to add some bolt on performance in all areas of my FX. I am considering an Eibach spring kit, and I've already added a Stillen front brace. I would like to improve my intake and exhaust, but need some direction in these areas. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
 
Welcome to the scene. I'm not too good with 45 info, but I'm sure other members will chime in.

if yours AWD then your out of luck on that place
but if your RWD then your in luck on that place =]
 
ahhh, dude, all 45's are awd:tongue:

45's got exhaust, intake tube, don't think much else performance wise...

Exhaust: 2 biggies are Stillen and Nismo. DR.2K (nismo) and HumbertoCali (stillen) have them on their 45's. I Personally like the sound of the Stillen more. But then again, Doc always beats Bert in drag racing (fontana raceway of course :wink:)..so I dont know...lol

Intakes: not much out there, somebody else will chime in.
 
Lots of stuff top do if you really want to. Exhaust, GTSpec braces, intake, ecu reflash, suspension springs, torque convertor, valvebody, +2 timing advance. There are a few others but not performance realted.

Thanks Doc. I'm definitely adding the Eibach Pro Kit springs, and I've already done the brakes (drilled & slotted front and rear) w/ SS brake lines. What intake do you recommend?
 
For the intake I recommend staying with stock and using k&n drop in filter. If you can find a lms intake you can try that but then you will need to get the ecu tuned for as they tend to run a bit too lean by themselves. WeaponR makes one for the 45 but iyou may want to contact them directly as I do not see it listed on their website. I use a combination of the stock box andMAF tube sensor with the weaponR filter and velocity stack.
