Researching a hard cold start issue.

Don't get hung up with the name of the module. It really is the fix for many having cold start issue.

Glad to have the input. It's gotten noticeably worse with the recent sub-zero temps.

I replaced the battery with an optima red top already. I don't think it's my TB or MAF sensor.

Put a bid on a unit from an 08 on ebay. Does not appear to be the updated part number (277608Y71A new vs. 277608Y70A old) , but the issue's seem to be primarily with the earlier years. Dunno.

New they are up to almost $500.
 
Yeah, it's pricey. In my mind otherwise $400 for it though. Hope those that have replaced it will chime in.

$65 for a used one off eBay out of an 08 fixed me. 3 weeks without a problem. Same part number.

Maybe a bad batch in 06/07?

So which part # did you end up buying? Your above post had 2 numbers... If this fixes your issues, others can try searching eBay for the same part #...

I bought part # 277608Y70A, which is the same # on the part I replaced.

Took the snows off.

These are Konig Privat Kuhl's in 10 x 20 +40 with Goodyear Eagle sports on 285/45R20.

No rubbing, and I gave it a good frost heave test.

I had to replace my FX with a plow truck and have a set of wheels I'd like to go to a good home.
