Hey all!! I really love your Forum-I have read through a lot of things about the EX's on here and it has motivated me to move forward and go with my instincts on wanting this cAr!! I have a lot of questions, as I am in the process of purchasing a new one...a 2008 white ex35-AWD- Journey trim! I would love it if you could all help me answer some of these questions!! They are all accessory and cosmetic related questions but I am sure many of you have much better knowledge of these cars rather then trying to search the internet else where and find answers! Thanks in advance. I will post my questions soon-although I am still figuring this website out, THANK You!! :)

Lots of questions~ :)

thanks everyone. Well for starters I am getting ready to buy a white infiniti ex35 the journey trim...I am super picky and was looking for the back up camera and the around view camera...even though I wanted to stick with the 08 or 09-but I have found the around view and back up camera in the 08's although this one only has the back up camera...is it possible to aftermarket install the around view one?? and if so would I just be better off continuing to look and find one that has it already installed. I have been having soooo much trouble finding the car I want because I am soo picky and wanted the journey trim but also the wood grain trim throughout (some models have silver door panels) and the dark wood in the radio and heating controls area. So I am also wondering if I would be better off just getting one that has the around view monitor etc but without the woodgrain trim on the doors and then trying to put the wood grain trim on the interior door handles after market?? All advice is welcome!! Thanks! Sorry for the story long question! :) hehe

Around view monitor is not an aftermarket addition because the cameras are integrated into the body components and would be extremely expensive to retrofit. Wood grain trim and interior updates should be fairly straight forward as you could probably buy an aftermarket upgrade kit to get the look you're looking for. I would suggest working with a couple dealers to find what your looking for, sometimes the search time is worth the outcome.

I completely agree the search time is worth it....but I have been looking for over a month and I somehow cannot find a white one...with low miles in the price range I am looking for with the full wood grain interior. and the back up and around view camera. I am beginning to loose hope.. :) as I would really love and cannot wait to own an ex!! So i figured I should either forfeit one or the other....the around view or the full wood grain? I am a bit confused, I know the shiny black around the radio usually comes with all models-is that not considered wood grain?? in the models that have the silver door handle areas?

Just get the one with the around view and you can easily get a OEM wood grain kit and install that later easily and fairly cheap.

I can tell you that from the people I've talked to, the around view monitor is definitely worth getting. In terms of the interior options, I don't know the exact confirms available, and would have to look to someone else to that info.

Ok-Sounds good...yeah I really wanted the around view-I think I will take ur advice....do you think putting the aftermarket wood trim inside will be a pain in the ass. I want it all to match?? Plus I dont want it to deteriorate quickly? or look cheap? I often have seen cars with this aftermarket trim inside and it looks cheap? ya kno?

Welcome to :iS:and good luck with your search. Where have you been searching for the particular EX?

Installation should be pretty easy. You should ask the dealer if they sell an OEM kit or where to purchase a good aftermarket one that will match because there are really good quality ones out there as well as poor quality.

I have been searching within most of New England...I live in Massachusetts...and I have been looking around there...within 100 miles .... on auto trader...do u guys have any better sources??

Autotrader is prob the best bet but u can also go to a dealership and maybe you can talk to them and they can find you one themselves from a different dealership that way they work out a trade with another dealership. I know when I was looking for an fx the guy at one of the dealership told me he could find out and they would get it for me.

I went to about 2 infiniti dealerships already.... and I mentioned that I wanted white and what else I was looking for and he kinda looked at me like I was crazy and being wayyyy too picky or something. He said he would try his best. They keep calling and telling me they have silver or bluish etc...but never a white one :( Do you all know if the factory rims from the 2011 ex would fit on the 2008>??

autotrader is how I found mine after months of searches. :)))

Months?? geez-I would love to wait...heres the thing though-I have had my eye on the infiniti for about 6 months and when I finally went to test drive one I fell in love...so I told the dealer I wanted to trade mine in and he really was offering me only about 1500 for my car...I knew he was crazy so as I was sooo eager to buy this car I put mine on craigs list and sold it within 2 day for 3x what the dealership was offering. Then I proceeded to start looking online and trying to find the exact one I want, as the other one was already in the process of being sold now...so I looked and looked and test drove a few more and began to get a little more picky as I got to know the car more and realize what other options were offered. And now I basically am looking for a fully loaded 2008 ex lol....I guess thats what happens when you start to increase your knowledge...now i kno tooo much and want every option available!

I think it was about 2-3 months. I was picky, I'm pretty sure more than above average. If it wasn't white, I wouldn't look at it. If it had front license plate holes (many do if it came from a state requiring front license plate), I wouldn't look at it. Had to have the Sport and Tech package, clear title - never in accident, no scratches or dents, pristine inside as well, low mileage, and a terrific price. If you wait, it will come. Once I found the perfect one and the deal was way good, my wife and I got on a plane that weekend and drove it home. We were supposed to spend the night somewhere since the drive was like a 14 hours. My first posts on this forum was asking people about blue tape on the bumper to not ruin the pristine condition. I drove it through the night and couldn't stop enjoying driving it. so I didn't sleep. Gosh that day was so awesome I can't even explain it.

Cars.com is another good tool. If you really have your heart set on that setup, you may have to go beyond 100 miles.

WOW!!! was that story awesome!! lol....I can seriously relate!! I have been wanting this car for quite some time also and I guess I should start looking a bit further then 100 miles since that may be where the perfect car is!! ...but I agree u may be a slight bit pickier then myself lol!! unfortunately i will have to have front license plate holes since I am from Mass!!! haha where did u end up finding ur car??
