Been checking out the scene ever since I picked up a Black /graphite 2005 35 last month. Love the car and looking to pick up a set of stock 20 inch rims. I am also thinking about getting the sport tails but I'm not sure they work as well as the stock red ones with the black FX. Curious if anybody else has the same reservations about what exterior colors work with the clear tails.
 
I have a black FX, I just installed the clears and it looks fine, but I really liked the red ones. I think I just like being different...lol. Im probably going to have the clears modded.
 
Welcome. I was going to go with clears on mine but I really like the red against the black so I'm holding off for now. I think it will look fine though. Anyone have any pics of the clear tails on a black FX?

Welcome to IS.. The clear tail lights make the Lil chrome or silver on a black FX stand out a bit more in a nice way.. Butthe contrast of the red tail lights on the black FX it awesome, would like to see a Black FX with big brakes red calibers and red tail lights.. It's a awesome matching. But that just me..
 
Thanks for your all of your opinions. So far it looks like many agree with me that a black FX looks good with either the red or the sport tails. I actually have done side by side comparisons with two black fx's parked in a local dealers lot and still can't say one is better or nicer than the other just different.
 
Welcome to the scene. I think either way look fine, but if it were my FX I would go with the sport tail lights

I think clears will look better if the reflectors, and the 3rd brake light is tinted. Having clears, and red reflectors don't do it for me :dontknow:.
