New Member from Montreal

Just traded 2 weeks ago wifey's pearl white EX35 to this Minty 2012 FX35 Premium with barely 25,000km (15,000 miles)!!!. 1 owner lady driven...

I was a member at NicoClub as i gathered info regarding the EX, We have always been drooling over the FX and it is finally here we LOVE IT!!!:good:
I am a car nut/enthusiast, my friend used to own a modded black FX50S (Guanche)
I used to drive an Audi A4 (audizine) and now a new MK7 VWGolf...

Plan is to have it fully detailed in a few weeks and sealed with OptiCoat or Cquartz
I have already replaced both air filters + Synthetic Oil (Mobil 1 5w30 + M1 Filter)
I have been looking on ebay, kijiji, Craiglist...etc for 20'' OEM but they are damn expensive, along with the rubber might stick with current 18'' and use the EX35 OEM 18'' mags for the winter set-up

Indeed car came from Luciani and was traded-in at a Benz dealership...
i will post some after pics once it is fully detailed in a couple of months in the meantime she really needed a big engine bath

I am a marketing guy, passionate about cars would be an understatement LOL I also worked in the automotive industry including FixAuto network, LoJack and Groupe Gabriel...

We went skiing last week end and for once i was driving...:good:
We are a small family of 3 with 2 chihuahuas LOL it is just a perfect car for us with incredible sport car inspired handling...compared to our old A4/EX35 & current Golf I immediately noticed how stiff the suspension even though it has stock 18''; I can only imagine how the ride would be on 20 or 21'' with our insane potholes in beautiful Montreal looking more like craters...

Also a huge difference having a 7 speed, rpm is much lower and relaxed cruising
Finally what I LOVE is the bulges on the hood reminding me of the iconic Porsche 911 & the G37 in LOVE with the car just wait until she gets fully detailed will look brand new this summer

Montreal is a beautiful city...however this amazing city will always be politically/economically unstable compared to the rest of Canada and the US. In addition, we pay insane taxes and as a bonus we inherit terrible 3rd country roads
It would be nice to have 21'' OEM mags but boy oh boy i can be costly
They blame our very harsh winters, when the snow starts to melt the roads simply crack with craters! so for the next several weeks we will have to wait and hope for city workers to patch them as we will certainly restart the process yet once again next year
Funny thing is... once you cross into Ontario or into the US; the roads become magically smooth and way better so you can once again enjoy driving

I feel your pain Montreal is not a city to use Low profile tires and pot holes are not only a winter problem in Montreal you can tell that to my second car witch is an Acura integra ls 2001 never winter driven and still my mags are all damaged all crocked changed all four mags last year and already have one dented
