well hello everyone, my name is Joe and i am seriously considering picking up an FX, Always LOVED the body style, and their georgous interiors.

im from philly, so hopefully when i do pick one up i can set something up for all the tristate guys to come hang out.

on to the questions.

Heres a basic run down of what i would like:

2004-08 FX35 or 45 but not totally nessicary.

DG, black, or that other dark sand looking color is absoutly georgous, some sort of grey/silver (dont know all of the color names yet) with a black interior. i would also consider the orange/cinamon.

somewhat low miles, i am looking in a price range of between 22-25k.

what should i look out for? any certain mechanical parts that wear more so then others? what is a fair mileage/price? any recalls i should be aware of?

i am not a newb to the boards, and i have read through many posts so far and plan on continuing to do so, but i figured while i introduced myself, i would list some of the questions i had off the top of my head.

Welcome to the forum! IMO go 06' plus for the interior. 45 for immediate Power and torque, 35 for upgradable long term power at a cost. MPG diff is slight but anything now (and in the near future) counts. Low mileage in your price point is doable for an 06+
 
06-08 for that price you'll have over 50k miles, I would go for 06-08 for updated interior and exterior trim, and a 45 for better power (but less modability....not that the 35 mods do anything besides forced induction)
 
Welcome. Based on your budget, 06+ fx35 seems more realistic or an older fx45. Good luck.

yea guys, thats a good call on the 06-08 for the updated interior, i will defentially be looking into that.

suprisingly enough i have found a few 35's between 05-07 in that price range, some with 30-40k on them. im in no rush, so i think it will be best to search around for a while, and find exactly what i am looking for.
 
+1 on 06 and newer for interior. I would try for a late build 07 or 08 so that you have some of the basic warranty left. Should definitely still be in your price range. Can't really think of any major recalls or TSB's, just the headlight recall, front fender bolt tsb, and fuel dampener tsb. Good luck man.

i know a lot of great meet spots here, so that shouldnt be a problem, definitally looking forward to a warm summer meet though and to meet some of you guys as well.

outside of philly in the King of Prussia area, but always in the city for play :wink (2):. Theres numerous non-fx meets here, pretty chill guys. Feel out of place since i'm the only one without a snail :err:
 
i purchase my 06 fx45 in november 2010 with 20,000 miles and fully loaded with invisible bra and dvd player for only $26k from a porsche dealership so you can find a good deal good luck and go to cars.com and look in your area
