New INVIDIA FX35 FX45 exhaust dual canister NO RASP. PROTOTYPE AVAILABLE SOON

Will the Gemini clear the OEM tow package?
I asked before on the Q300 and never received an answer from other members. Gordon you told me to call you, but I didn't as there is no use unless I am ready to purcase.

Ghetto-Anything after driving the 45 with the Gemini over the weekend? Noticeable differences in power, where the power comes on, low/mid? How is the cabin noise compared to the OEM pipes? At freeway speeds?

Hey Gordon-Is there a date set for the dyno on Ghettos 45? Any input on the GT-Spec rear brace clearance question?

Installing the first unit as a marketing tool is only effective if you follow through with information. You could be possibly sitting on one of the best FX exhaust systems available. Currently all we have are pictures and sound. Please note-my intention is not to beat you up on how you sell your product, personally I'd like to make an informed decision and possibly buy a system myself. IMO if the product feedback is communicated effectively you will sell many more units and you can move that shipment that just arrived......

i get MUCH better throttle response throughout the rpm band...its really noticeable. i dont know if my accumulated miles (60k) and subsequent carbon deposits in the oem exhaust had anything to do with it (i think it should)....keep in mind i bought my fx45 used in aprl 09 and only driven about 1500 miles since. i always felt the FX was a little laggy for a v8, but the lag is gone. if anything it feels like theres definately more torque and power throughout, so i'm extremely happy with the performance aspect.

noise inside the cabin while cruising is only slightly louder than oem...slight bit of droning. i love the sound at WOT tho, not obnoxious just sounds like a hungry v8...almost sounds like i have an open air intake, which i dont.

I realize it had only been four days and I wondered how many miles you had logged. Comparisons are best when fresh, at least for me, after 90 days a mod seems to melt into the system and I tend to not recall all the subtle (or not so subtle) changes at the time of install. This sounds promising especially feeling pull across the band. Responses back from a couple of the other 45 owners have indicated that the combination of the intake and the exhaust plays really well together. Nice to hear that you feel the performance aspect is solid, some just want the V8 sound, my personal mission is to squeeze whatever I can out of the VK. Has Gordon set you up for a Dyno?

If the droning starts to annoy you there is always Dynamat or brown bread....

Yeah man-I know, how long have I been tracking Invidia threads DJ? I'd like to get the exhaust installed then follow it with my Gt-Spec product which should be here soon......

now that i think about it my only complaint is the drone at cruising, but thats bcuz i've been driving w/ the radio real low so i can hear the exhaust...performance wise i was surprised its that noticeable over oem. i wish the VK had more intake options, i dont like losing the cold/ram air effect if i go with jwt popcharger but theres not really much else is there. doc2k has the right idea, his intake sticks halfway into the airbox thus still using the cold air, but its a semi-custom job and im not handy.

gordon hasn't said anything about dynos, i wouldn't count on getting one anytime soon logan...even the install was at the ghetto ass muffler shop down the street and they let em use the bay for free. gordon is a great guy tho but i dont think invidia has a marketing dept or even a guy that does marketing...seems like a small operation but thats just from my 1 time visit.

I'm surprised there is a drone, I thought the Gemini was the upgraded Q300 to get rid of the drone. Especially since you're a FX45, very surprised. Thanks for sharing.

Hmmmm drone.....Did dual exahaust on two of my last cars and the freeway drone was irritating as hell. On my Lexus I ripped out the back seats and the trunk liner and did a full layer of Dynamat, really helped to knock the sound level down. Lack of intake options for the 45 makes me crazy but The Beast, Chedman, and a few others have had good luck with the JWT Pop Charger set-up. A couple of guys on the Org. also built intakes off the lower scoop that direct the air up to the intake. I think fabbing something up isn't too hard, it may not look pretty but if it gets the air where it needs to be....The JWT was reported by multiple sources to add 1 MPG and a few horses, again it supposedly plays very well with the exhaust. Using the stock airbox is mainly a Dremmel cut out but I like the way it maintains the ram air and keeps some of he cold air flow somewhat closed off.

Too bad Gordon and the Invidia crew don't have a marketing plan considering the cash they have spent on R&D, manufacturing and the associated overhead. From a baseline marketing effort it should be you and anybody else who steps up as initial buyers. They should be encouraged to post results off a list that describes factors potential buyers need/want to know good or bad. Easy to do and it builds on itself. Marketing and import are both a big part of my background, it makes me crazy to see an unpatented potentially great product ramp up so slowly.......

Im not gonna lie.. Im a bit upset that Gordon sold me the old version telling me that they wouldnt have titanium tips for a very long time, and i have to deal with this rattling every time i accelerate..:frown: other tan that great exhaust.

i think it was the rasp that they got rid of...i wasn't aware there was any maybe the q300 guys can chime in.

like i said the drone is only there at cruising...say around 25-40mph. I'm real anal when it comes to sound tho i watch tv at maybe 1/3 - 1/2 volume levels as other people.

i read that guy kieranlavins post about mpg gains w/ the popcharger and im skeptical. cant recall exactly but off the top of my head i remember he said 15mpg stock, then 18-21 just from the popcharger...that is too unreal imho. 1mpg i can believe but 3-5mpg? thats 20-33% better fuel economy! im sure hes just reading the trip computer but if gains are that good wouldn't infiniti use a similar setup from the get go and advertise 'hey people, our v8 gets 18-21mpg instead of the normal 15!' I think somehow his trip computer is fooled from all that extra air in the fuel mixture and hes too stupid to realize it, plus the guy was a douche when i was on the org and i refuse to have anything to do w/ his 'poop' charger haha. the org has a shitload of knowledge but douchbags like that troll on anyone whos got a diff opinion...infinitiScene is a much friendlier and more supportive place for people with mod ideas.

i dunno, i sorta think our FX q300/gemini are just 'ported' over from their G/Z exhaust lines since that market is wat 10x-15x bigger than the FX exhaust market i assume? these guys use nismo exhausts and just extend the tips/piping and it fits our FX so i'm assuming Invidia is doing the same, most of their R&D went into the G/Z exhausts and we're just afterthoughts especially the FX45 we're actually 1/10th the size of the FX35 population, thats why i dont think they wanna front any extra costs for dynos or watnot...notice all the sound clips till now are from G's/Z's?

are the q300 tips adjustable? if so you can just buy the tips and swap em out. i dont have any rattles but i've read it happens on other exhausts too...its fixable you will need to adjust the spot that rattles.

No rasp or drone with my Q300. I have a 45. However, I read the rasp is something the that tends to occur on the 35. The exhaust note is quite deep at around 2900-3200 RPM on acceleration, and there's a change in tone from deep to quiet (that's different than stock) at 1600-2000 RPM when travelling at low speed and you let your foot off the gas pedal. Spool up from 4000 to redline sounds strong and pleasant.

In regards to the rattle, also check to see if it's coming into contact with something metallic, such as the sway bar.

I posted a stock vs Q300 vid on youtube a couple months ago:
YouTube- Infiniti FX45 Invidia Q300 Exhaust

Hope that helps out.

Noted regarding the drone, there will always be more sound at speed with more flow I fully expect that and I can deal with it.

Kierins post called out a 1 MPG gain. Other members said that they saw better or geometric gains by adding additional mods like an exhaust. Did you two have a run in at some point? I spend 99.9% of my time on IS but the little time I have spent on the org everyone has been helpful to "the cause".

I agree with you, the piping is a direct extension of a setup that exists or I'm sure they wouldn't just jump in. They are def targeting the 35 market based on the size of the pipes and that is the right thing to do as the 45 market is probably less than the 10% you quoted, its pretty damn slim....I am just saying if they soliciate comments like yours (which were very helpful) then get a deal on two dynos (35 and a 45) and post the results their marketing effort is pretty tight. Spending money on a 45 dyno may sound foolhardy considering the cost BUT how many 45 owners are out there looking for ways to release additional HP? Just back up some solid verbal user commentary with a factual test.

Any FX45 V8 Owner Interesting my old version Q300 Muffler ?

Not for FX35 Owner Because 35 is raspy.

Maybe i ma gonna change the Gemini for my V6.

Anyone Interesting let me know good price for the used i only have 7000 miles on it .

Initially it gave me a tremendous MPG gain. I went from 15.x the previous tank with mixed highway/city with/without AC to 18.7 the following tank. As I'm driving more with the intake, I'm realizing the car actually WANTS to be pushed. It's like reverse psychology. The more I push the go pedal, the higher my MPG

im sure 99% of the dudes on the org have good intentions but a few rotten eggs sure do ruin it. Stulax knows wat i'm talkin about, i'll just leave it at that.
