New here and New FX35 owner! Love it! But... What are the first must do mods?

Got my eye on a CAI, aftermarket intake mani, pulleys and just a rear section exhaust if possible. Any thing else that can improve throttle response, mpg etc. Any advice would be great. Thanks

Will load pic up soon

Welcome to IS! Must do mods depend on your budget. You sound like you are looking for performance mods. But my opinion is getting coilovers are the first must do option.

welcome to iS, my suggestion for one of the MUST DO's is Plenum 5/16 engine spacer.

Welcome to IS!

^ what Aero said. They didn't have co options when I started modding.

But if you want engine performance first, these are the steps with the greatest return :

1) Motordyne 5/16 plenum spacer -$250 biggest improvement
2) Stillen Cai and z tube - $250 some improvement works well with plenum spacer.
3) full catback exhaust- stillen, Nismo, invidia, - $1000+ new, little improvement but works well when fully tuned.
4) tuning- unichip, uprev- $700 brings everything together.

Welcome to the Scene! I would recommend the plenum spacer as well for a quick bang for the buck. I also loved my Kakumei y pipe mod.

Thank guys. Not really looking for a all performance just a little more to get her moving I guess. My second car is a 500hp modded Audi S4 so that's where I'll go when I wanna go fast. But you guys would say the spacer instead of the whole intake manifold? Says there's a much bigger increase in volume then just the spacer. But I'll take your guys word for it. And was just gonna get springs for now and Coilovers later on.

i say get an intake then a plenum spacer.. that should hold you for awhile.. will put a big smile on your face every time you step on the gas.. after your'e done smiling, get a lowering kit, then smile again.. three upgrades in my opinion that should be done first.. should you decide on an exhaust next, your'e all set up.. if you decide to go with aftermarket wheels, you are good to go..
