new G35x owner might get a FX

Hey everyone,

I'm a current 2005 G35x in graphite owner, might consider getting a 1st gen FX35 in maybe a year or so. I figure i'll join here since it seems like there are some chicago FX owners here and i can pick up FX tid bits. I do my own work on my car and others, maybe i can help some of you guys here or we can learn from each other on faster ways to wrench on these infinitis.

My G isn't stock nor is it extremey modded. Its not a show car, its a daily driver so it does have some battle scars.

I currenly have on my 2005 G35x AWD. 5/16 iso copper spacer, Z tube, BC racing coilovers, SBC rear camber arm/toe bolts. 350z track edition v1 Ray's wheels. staggered tire setup 235/45/18 and 265/40/18, g35 coupe mid-pipe and soon to be installed FI HFC.

I would say Chicago is the most active city when it comes to posting and get-togethers.

Post some pics of the G once you get 10 posts. It sounds nice.
 
Welcome. You probably know this but 06-08 FXs are a lil different from 03-05. If possible get an 06+, you won't regret it :tup:
 
^somewhat know. its similar changes on the g sedan from 03-04 and 05-06.

I recently did a 30k maintenance and brakes all around on a 07 fx. I enjoyed it, part of the reason I'm interested in the fx again.

Welcome to the site Turtle, I know you from driver. I had 2 G35Xs before my FX, and I'm lovin the FX.
 
Welcome Turtle! I think you will love the transition from a sedan to a crossover with a hatch. Best of both worlds! The FX is truly a unique, practical and timeless piece of machinery!
