New FX owner Tucson, AZ

Glad I finally found a decent FX forum to post on, I joined one yesterday that was totally dead.

Anyways, I just purchased a new to me 2009 FX35 AWD umbria twilight/wheat, premium, tech, nav 22,XXX. Loving it so far, took it up to the mountains to go snowboarding the day after I bought it. It's a pretty big upgrade for me, previously I owned a 2002 bmw 3 series coupe. I will never own another BMW. So far I love my FX.

I've always been interested in modding but mods will have to wait a while for me as I've just found out within the past week that my wife is pregnant and that she was also accepted into CRNA school that starts in June so, needless to say we're going to be a little on the broke side for the next 2 years or so. Maybe I can cash in my piggy bank and get a new set of wheels as I'm not really loving the look of the factory 18's.

We live in Tucson, AZ. Over the past couple of years we have been travelling pretty much non stop but with my wife being pregnant and about to start grad school we'll probably be stationary for a while. If anyone lives in the Tucson/Phoenix area hit me up maybe we can go grab a beer or something.

Anyways I'm glad to be a member of the forum.

Welcome to the forum!! This is a great place to find whatever you're looking for, just ask. I was in the same boat, added the FX to our garage, owning a 3 series it always felt weird to switch back if I had to drive the "little" car. Hey broke or not broke,m at least you, your wife and the baby will be rolling in style :)

Welcome and I'm glad you chose an Infiniti.

Unlike the bimmer, the FX has better reliability, low cost maintenance, and will last forever. Oh and while having a blast with it at the same time!

Thanks. My wife owns a Subaru WRX but I've yet to ride in it since we bought the FX, I'm sure it will be a weird feeling. Not sure when that day will come though. My Bimmer became a nightmare about June of last year when the entire cooling system needed to be replaced along with the VCG and valve cover then in January I lost reverse. Luckily I was able to sell it the day before I bought the FX...I was worried I would have to replace the tranny to get rid of it.

Welcome and I'm glad you chose an Infiniti.

I had originally planned on getting a WRX STI hatch but I'm really really happy with the decision to get the Infiniti. It's nice to have all the technology, comfort ,and added space of the FX.
