new exhaust

Hi, I got my HKS rear exhaust installed today.
I was enjoying new exhaust and driving back home and I realized a lot of white smoke
was coming out and it also smelled like burning.
Does anyone know what might be the reason for this?

since it happened after the install, try giving it some time to see if it was just burn off

Only the rear section? Why not the mid-pipe?

I only had this when I did a "engine oil flush" once, but went away after a few miles of driving.

I drove around couple of miles and the smoke went away, but there is still little bit of smell coming out. I guess I should drive around couple days and see how it goes.
Also, I have hard time finding HKS mid-pipe for fx45. Is it same thing as FX35 one?

was the HKS rear section new? I know you said you were enjoying YOUR new exhaust, I just didnt know if the muffler was new. If it was used, maybe water go into it and causing the white smoke.

The FX35 Mid-pipe fits the FX45. Just be sure to either put an extra hanger or get a polyurethane

Just be aware that HKS no longer sells the mid-pipe separately.

Another option is the Nismo mid-pipe with G35 extension.

Just backing up the other guys - my Stillen exhaust STUNK the first couple times I drove it. Then it went away. There are some oils and manufacturing residues that burn off the first few times it gets hot. You're good.
