apparently its the KuramaZ kit for the g35 but he modded it to fit...but nobody as answered my previos queston as to where i can actually find one, because the site isn't selling them anymore!!!!! because hwen i got TT i might want a different bumper!

It's not made by KurumaZ, we used a lower portion of a KurumaZ and made a mold using an FX upper bumper.

Realistically. The bumper is way tall for shipping. I ship G35 sedan bumpers using fedex ground and it is at it's max dimensions already. We never did anything with the prototype side skirts we did because making molds costs money and I really don't think it would even break even in the end.

so its impossible to ge thtis kit? :frown:

i kinda wanted it :frown:

I think it's only possible for us CA guys. I would like to purchase this sometime next year when my wife let's me buy stuff for my car again. I've reached my limit this year according to her....

It's not impossible. We can revisit this again during the winter. I can get a mold made of the sides or do up some new sides. The front mold is done, takes me a phone call to order up a bumper. Shipping an entire kit would have to be freight, and than comes the commitment on the buyers part.

The plastic moulding around the body would need to be painted. Some may be ok with this some are not. I'm a bad salesman, no pressure at all. lol

how much would this coast around? painted and all and shipped?

ucz im uber interested and winter's probably the time to do it if we can match it up to when my car is in the shop for the twins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thatd be sweet. depends how much the kit is tho

It would not come painted since the body moulding would need to be painted as well. All in one shot would be ideal for that. Kit would essentially be front bumper, new sides, and possible something in place of the rear mudguard that have a bit more style than painted mudguards.

lol i read that thing.......

no but seriously how much do you think that would be arouind?

Rookie, I like your suggestion of perhaps new design for the sides. I'm also very, very interested in this kit.

yea like...depending on price since im already dropping a bunch for the TT might as well go witht hte kit (depending on price)

this kit will go on a 06+ no problem... the 06+ grille does mount differently but is the same physical shape & size, since this is a fiberglass bumper anyway I'm pretty sure it could be modified to accept the 06+ grille, like viet said, worse case the 05- grille mounts right up, but I'm pretty sure an 06+ can be made to work...

as far as the sides, no issues there, it'll bolt right up no problem... so yeah, this kit can be used on 06+. I would even graft the front chrome corner piece in to the front edge for a really perfect fit, this is much easier to do on 06+ than the earlier ones, so in a way the sides are almost better for an 06+ than an earlier one for that reason...

price on install is hard to say... average ballpark might be around $500 to paint all & then maybe another $250 or so to mount it all up... one big variable though is how it mounts & another variable with fiberglass, if you really want it to look flawless, you could spend a whole lot of extra prep time to make it flat enough to not look like fiberglass parts... this is not to say anything against rookies fiberglass work, this holds true for just about any fiberglass parts including the best of them... you can just sand prime & paint, or you can spend a lot of time finessing fiberglass parts too depending on how crazy you want to go with it...

in the end, if you went ape & had them really work it to get a great finish & modify to fit the 06+ grille and the 06+ chrome front molding extension, I'd think it still wouldn't be much more than a grand all said & done... a lot depends on the shop doing it, I'm sure there are shops that would do it for less too... don't know how cali prices compare to ny prices though... or texas in your case...

then theres the issue of painting all the rest of the lower trims, like wheel opening moldings & lower rear bumper... figure maybe another $500 there to do it right...

in the end, with the kit & all done great total may be like $2,500... well worth it for this much custom work I think...

curious to see what kind of prices rookie gets:smile:

That would be a good baseline.

so if you do the math it will cost ~$3450 plus shipping. Thats everything, parts and labor.:itsme:. Then its :elephant: party time lol.

rookie post #40

rookie:
The prices I guessed are pretty safe guesses.

450 for the front without the mesh, the mesh is not made by me or painted by us. It's a plastic material that does not chip. Ends up being 50 for the mesh with shipping. http://www.customautomesh.com/store/...d&productId=34

Sides would be targeted at being under 500.

I still think my need for 4-5 prepaid orders on the sides would be the deciding factor to make a mold of the sides. I would still have to come out of pocket to make the molds.
I really like this kit. I hope you (rookie) are still selling them when I am ready for it.:2smile::laugh::top:

since this thread is back from the dead. Maybe we sould get a
1
going.

You never know, if we get about 10 people to prepay for the kit, it may take off.

:) thanks for doing all the math for me haha!!!!!!!!!!!

so yeah maybe if a gB comes up i may be interested....still unsure

I'm puzzled as to why it's such a secret or problem getting that kit for my '04FX.
It reminds me of when I have money to go shopping for some gear and can't find anything that grabs me. Where can I purchase the same kit?
