New 2010 FX35 White in West Michigan

Hello everyone. Been lurking here since last Wednesday when I bought my new 2010 White w/black interior FX35. Got the Premium with the Nav and a couple of standard addons.

Totally out of place here in W. Mich, but being from California and having just moved here 6 months ago, a new car is good, and fits our former Cali lifestyle, which is also out of place in Grand Rapids.

Gonna do some mods once I get over the brand new car factor.

I got supplier pricing VPP at invoice due to my job and an extra $4,000 off to boot. (Thanks Nissan) I think it was a steal.

Nice to see such a good and knowledgeable crowd.

Best regards,
Sean

Welcome to the forum Sean. I was under the impression WM was very much like CA......Nice choice on the car and the color!

Hey Sean,

Looks like you and I will be having a few meets coming up. My wife's family is in Wyoming and we visit a few times a year.

We will be driving there at the end of August so get ready for a get together.

NICE bro!

I love the FX in white! Let those mods begin!

It's always good to see more and more 2nd gen FX'ers around here.

Post up some pictures!!!!

Thanks for the welcome

Hey all,

Thanks for the warm welcome. I was set on black but we saw the White and couldn't pass it up. I especially like the welcomes from the NYers. I'm originally from Mid NJ, but spent the last 12 years in CA.

No W. MI isn't anything like California. 5+ feet of snow here a year, no shortage of water and electricity, low taxes, home prices, traffic.
.

Yup, Wyoming, MI. So if you come to town, it'll be nice to see another FX around. It's a see of American cars here and mostly rusty Pontiacs. (No I'm not kidding on this one)

gotta mode the Nav, DVD and Camera soon. Especially the NAV.

BTW, my dealer told me adding the paddle shifters based on the DIY post wasn't a simple bolt on and wire run. Was he just trying to scare me not to do it? Said it would require 4-5K in mods. I want to call BS if it is.

Haha yeah I know what your talking about the American cars everywhere over there. When I went to Ohio a few month's ago with my FX, there was only American cars everywhere. No one there I saw drove a foreign car. I don't understand that though :eek.:. But my car sure did turn alot of heads lol, like they've never seen it before or something. I'm pretty sure your new baby does the same haha.

And yeah the dealer is lying to you. Their just trying to find a way to make some cash off of you, or either they don't know how to add the paddle shifters lol. Just follow the DIY on here instead. Usually it takes people like us to show the stealerships their wrong.

Hehe..yup the dealer didn't even know how to install my car seats using the Latch method. I haven't had much/any contact from my dealer since buying and asking for a deal on the trunk cover. I really want to buy the illuminated door sills, trunk cover and paddle shifters but can only do it if i can get a package deal. Wife's rules. We spent enough money moving to Michigan, buying a house, furnishing it, and now picking up a new $40K+ car.

The saving grace as I said in my first ever posting is that i got the FX35 at Invoice using the VPP minus another $4k.

I guess I need to contact Riverside Infiniti to find the paddles.

First up, mod the camera and Nav systems
