New - 07 FX35 from 02 Camaro

Howdy All!

Traded in my 02 Z28 Camaro last week for a low mileage 07 FX35 in perfect shape! Got tired of having little to no room for much of anything in the Z28, so wanted to move up to a smallish SUV with a sports car feeling. So far, I've got to say that I'm very impressed with the FX35 on nearly every front...I'm missing my V8 sound a little, but the way this thing sounds is pretty awesome as well.

Anyone know any good shops in the Houston area? I've already got the mod bug, but I'm originally from Dallas and don't really know where to go in Houston to get any work done...

I miss mine sometimes Andrew, lol... I'm getting another one someday. Welcome to the scene! I had an 02 slp SS before my 45 but there is no doubt the FX is a fantastic crossover. Slap on a turbo or SC and that V8 itch will fade. The 35 has a lot of bolt on aftermarket support.

I went with the FX35 because I got a really good deal on it and the colors were exactly what I wanted (black/black). It was in such good condition that I felt I couldn't pass it up and it still seemed pretty damn quick.

Welcome to :iS2: I have both 03 FX35 and 03 FX45. I must say that I like to drive the FX45 more :smile (2):
 
I'll send you pics of mine. It's funny, just this past weekend, I was going through my old stuff at my parents house and found two photos that I thought were gone forever.

Congrats on the new fx, as stated before by other members... Plenty of mods for the FX35 and your at the right place for any info you need.
 
I'm living on Mason Road just south of Highland Knolls in Katy. I drive all over Houston for work, but I do that in a new F150 work truck. Hauling around equipment in the old Camaro got real old, real quick...lol.

The best VQ mechanic in Houston is Johnny Tran, the owner of JTran studios. Tuned my buddies 350z to 600whp, and his wife drives a red FX on coilovers.

Whoops, his Facebook says that as of this Monday he is hands-off with the garage! Officially the BOSS! I still recommend JTran Studios.
 
Welcome and congrats on the "crossover" :) I think you will be very happy with the decision!

JTran and PowerFab are two shops in H-town that have experience with VQ's and FX's.
