Neva's carbon Fiber hood and roof.

Hey is that CF wrap? My brother said I should do that to my hood but not sure how it would look on a first gen FX. Yours looks good.

Yes it's a vinyl wrap. If your considering it, just do it. I was iffy on wheter or not to do the hood, I didn't want it to look cheesy. I love it though, glad I did it. It compliments the black across the bottom and you have a black rear spoiler on your hatch (if its cosidered a spoiler). I wish the 2nd Gen had the black on the rear hatch, we were going to do something custom but the 2nd Gen has such unique lines in the back we just left it alone. Just make sure you have someone with experience do it, especially with CF I hear it's not easy to work with on large areas, keeping the pattern straight, not leaving strech marks, and making the corners look neat are just a few things that are going to meann the difference between a good outcome and an expensive disaster. I'm going to retouch my lower black plastic with Wipe New in a few weeks, even though it still looks good from the first time I did it going on a year now. It should compliment the hood and roof even more.

How much did they charge for the roof.. looks good

Can't really discuss price but when it comes to a wrap, what you pay for is what you get. Let's not forget your basically gluing a piece of non-permanent vinyl to the clear coat paint of your car. You want someone that knows what they are doing dealing with that type of thing so it's done right and when the time comes to remove it, 3yrs is what I'm hearing is the recomended period to avoid damage to paint, it comes off just as smoothly as it went on.

All that being said PhenomenalVinyl did the wrap for me, they are located in Ocenside, NY.

On their instagram they have sooooo many pics of the recent wrapping they have done including full wraps. I don't want this to sound like an advertisement so lets just say the pics speak for themselves.

Nicely done, definitely compliments your FX all around. The hood looks so clean. Wouldn't look that good on a first gen, but yours def pulls it off! Congrats on a cool mod:)

Looks nice. I like the color theme you have going on. Man you have one aggressive looking FX! Great work! Gotta check them out. My wife wants her taillights tinted on the FX. I assume these guys can do that for me right?

The front lip kit would make it look a lot more aggressive, when is that coming?

It's been almost a year since they did my tailights so you would have to ask them if anything has changed but when they did my lights they tried tint and it didn't work out. Since the 2nd Gen tailights have such a unique curvature to them the tint has to be strecthed to its extreme so when it cools down and begins to settle it tears in small spots around the most curved areas particularly that little raised squared portion around the middle. It was a shame too because the tint looked great it was the perfect shade. Since the tint didnt work out I had them paint them for me, which was the plan if the tint didn't work out, we knew the curves would be a challenge, obviously they took care of it since the tint didn't work out. The good thing about paint is you can almost go any shade you want since it's done by adding black to clear until your desired shade is achieved. The down side is that it cant be reversed as simple as pulling it off. Nevertheless I'm very happy with how the lights turned out and they were able to leave the reverse lights white and the line looks clean. Pricing was about $150 at that time but it was about that price from anyone I would have trusted to do that back then. If you decide to do it good luck with the mod.

Personally I'm not a huge fan of the OEM front lip. It far from looks bad but I don't love it enough to spend that type of money. I was actually going to paint my lowers body color until I got the black rims, it gave the black lowers a whole new look for me, IMO it works. If I was going to do any body work I would probably go all out and do something like this, provided I could keep the front camera, all of the sensors, and add some line style leds in place of fogs. This kit is being sold locally on ebay right now:

I'm not feeling this kit at all, some cheap Chinese made kit. Way too busy and looks ricey. It ruins the natural clean lines of the FX.

I like the rear bumper, I think it would compliment the front lip kit.

I saw Neva4self yesterday lol pics really don't do his car justice. His car looks sick in person especially his rims

I think a wrapped hood wouldn't look right on a first gen because the hood is not separated from the front fender like it is on the second gen.

My bad on the super late response but yeah I was interested in seeing this in person. Though I haven't yet but the shop contact number they gave me when I messaged them had a (718) area code so they are somewhere within the 5 boroughs.

I hear you. I would never do something like this without seeing the actual product before purchase. The seller who has this on ebay is located somewhere close. One day when I have no erands to run I'm going to pop in and see what they look like in person. I personally the the front, rear, and hood. The fenders and side skirts (which I didn't even bother posting) would have to be revamped.

Yeah Dave but looking at your avatar I think a gloss black hood would blend with your black grill and look crazy (in a good sense). Just my opinion.

Another shot from my camera phone. I'm going to have to start carrying around a real camera. Getting tired of the crappy photo quality lol.

I was thinking about getting rid of all the chrome with either gloss black or carbon fiber but I don't want to start entering the "listen man, you doing too much zone" lol
I took off the chrome pillars with the intentions of CF wrap but I think I'm leaving those gloss black now. I'm already second guessing putting back on the body colored shark fin antenna.

Suggestions on what to do about the chrome??

Worst case, I leave it as is because if one piece goes, all of it does, window trim, vents, door handles, side lower trim and front emblem.

I agree of you get rid of some chrome, you get rid of it all (usually). On the orange cars I like the blacked out look, so maybe go back to phenom and get the chrome wrapped.

I personally don't like your carbon fiber hood. The roof is okay, but I Usually dont like CF unless it is real carbon fiber aka you're actually reducing your weight, etc. But with those big wheels it's not like you're really going for performance so I guess it suits the ride.

I would get a photoshop request going ni that thread for your car all blacked out to see how you like it.

As my FX is orange and I kind of started going same way you are, I think it will look great with black.
Here is a quick PS, take a look. I believe it will give it a unified look.

My next set of rims will be somewhat performance orientated, probably 22" lol. I got the 24" so fast that I didn't realize how much of a difference they made until I put them back on a few weeks ago after rocking my stocks all winter. The difference was night and day, I even though about powder coating the 21" and leaving those on but I need some size to them so I have to be pushing at least 22's.
